Assault - Confirm Rank-Up Requirements?

Never thought of .dat swapping. We just mana burn it 2x T4 and 3x T3 and it's dead. We get C2-C3 off each of the 4 mimic paths and just sleep the fish we can't avoid.

What does Golden Salvage have to do with dat swapping?

I red his post plus downloaded the .DAT pack. Nothing specific in there about Assaults though (no surprise, pack is pre-ToAU).

Will simply swapping the 3 Chest DATs in the pack take care of Assault too? If not which DATs take care of the Assault chests?

I'm at work so I can't check.

The chest .dat's from Russta's link work do work for Assault. 4/4 for 4k Assault Points last night in ~30 mins. Plus, I'm now the proud owner of 2x Beetle Earrings.

Er, which dat is for chests... and if I change these to green glowing ones from the limbus page, that should work in pso'ja too, right? Alternatively, can I just stick bahamut in for regular dat chests/coffers, so I can see them 3 miles away? :D

I'm pretty sure all chests in Pso'Xja are mimics though. I used to farm and sell polymer a lot and I haver never seen one that is not a mimic. If you want to unlock one with a key you just need to use sneak and trade it to the un-mimic'ed treasure chest and you will open it.

Pso'Xja has one non-mimic chest, the rest are mimics. And they are only in one part of Pso'Xja. You use the Pso'Xja chest key and get the map from the non-mimic.

So it seems the theory about the 25 points is working. Has anyone had problems Ranking up after beating all 5 PSC assaults and not being able to rank up to PFC? My friend lost a bunch of PSC before finally beating all 5 one time. Anyway it has been over a week and he hasn't been able to rank up or have Naja ask for an imp wing. He said he has never led an assault either and only has 1 win on each area. Let me know if anyone has any theories on why this might be.

I have a hard time believing this. Thousands of people have successfully ranked up after beating each assault once. It may be true, but I really have a hard time believing this. Something tells me there's one he hasn't beaten. Even if you respond and say "I confirmed with him that he's beaten every single one" I'm still going to be doubtful.

I'll make him check his assault mission log and make sure he has all 5 under completed. A few others I know thought it might be you get negative points for losing or you have to lead one assault mission as well. I'll let you know what I find out.

You really can swap the chest dat with the one designed for Limbus and it will glow green. You can get the dat and instructions here though be warned that the site goes up and down (or so I'm told, never had a problem myself). I am, however, in agreement with Nynja that you should just whore Lamia 13 for more points. Not only is it a joke with three people but it's really fucking fun and gives you potentially better items from tekking.

[Edit]Epigram - I don't know how much the critical hit rate increase is on Pahluwan Khazagand but as I'm shooting for it myself I wish to know too. You'll inevitably get it before me so inform me of any findings please.

Doubtful, I've never led one, and I've lost multiple. Still got rank up as soon as I got "50 points" (in quotes since people get uptight at people experiencing things other than they experienced)

I'll try posting this again - it didn't appear to go through last time, and didn't want to double post with all the recent trouble, but...

I use the following link for chest DAT swap. A friend sent it to me, and it's a little better than the colored chests from Limbus. This turns the chest into a tall flag, so it's a little easier to spot from a distance.

Ok I did this last night, so frigging easy when you swap the chests for the flags. I just got 2 friends to AFK near the chest and portal, while I went and explored the areas on rdm, slept fishies (which like alot of mobs, stopped following me when i was really far away) when they were in my way, and when I found the flag, it was the chest :D

Easiest 1000 assault points ever. 1100 if you have assault band. That's 333 points less than the lamia, but it's nice if you dont have jobs good for lamia #13 and are 3 ppl. Bumped up my score to 10,300, only 7-8 more assaults and I'll get my Pahluwan Khafghanastan body and keep it on my mannequin.
