We aren't so mad about losing ulli, we are just greatly upset that a pop set will go to waste when they wipe

Yet I bet if someone had been camping the pirates for hours and another WHM came on the boat and pulled the NM the first time, I bet the original WHM would say its unfair since they were camping longer. But that's the breaks. I'd be pissed too, but I wouldn't think the NM was mine just cause I was there longer.

Well, that being said, I'll just go hang out with Hongmao. No one else is allowed to try for Amnet, that would be unfair.

This is just stupid. If an LS or a person wants or needs a drop from an NM, they can go whenever they want. So an LS was killing Ulli for a while, big deal. Sucks you didn't get the NM, but you got xp didn't you? How long does an LS have to stay at Ulli to be allowed to claim it? 30 minutes? 1 hour?

The difference is you don't spend hours killing the pirates to make the NM pop. The NM pirates pop regardless of people want them to or not (I sure as hell don't want to see them when I want to just fish), while Ulli didn't pop itself.
