I doubt it is a sky item as well simply because the NM is, I assume, around level 50. But if you think hard enough almost any type of liquid or food could be justified. Trying not to give any spoilers, but Movalpolis is highly tied to the CoP story as a result it is also tied to sky.I highly doubt it would use a sky pop item...
I do believe that Goblin Drink is used to pop the Wolfman ... but I know this is only a guess and at this point we can all agree that it -could- be almost anything. Anyways, it is easier to try every single liquid (and maybe food) that we know of before trying thousands of trial and error Goblin Drink synths.
The most productive way to eliminate possible pop itmes would be to keep a sinlge updated online list of all the items that have been tried, and failed.

I will try to convince people to try amrita. If we can do a 6-7 cut, it wont be too bad, and if it actually pop, we could always ask the pld to pay us back.
Everyone relax, after testing last night, Ninurta's Sash is not the pop item.
EDIT: On a slightly more constructive note, I was discussing this whole situation the other night, specifically why nobody is making a small fortune bazaaring Goblin Drinks (as was discussed earlier in the thread) and basically came down to three main possibilities.
1) Goblin Drink is the pop item, but the only guy with recipe is an asshole who has no need for money, which is very possible assuming he's been playing long enough and has no relic ambitions. Personally, I'd plvl cooking mules on every server and reverse RMT the cash I made from being the only source of Parade Gorgets.
2) Goblin Drink is NOT the pop item. If the pop item is something more mundane, our dear friend can't charge an arm and a leg bazaaring the pop item like he could with goblin drink. He could go to Oldton and pop it himself, but if the massive spike in Doll Gizmo, Cursed Beverage etc. sales are ever traced to him he loses his monopoly.
3) Wolfman isn't popped in a traditional way. I originally was thinking about this because I couldn't think of any other NM that is popped by trading an item to a non-??? point, later to find out that Selene's Bow and maybe others aren't "???"s. A lot of crazy pop-condition NMs were added same update as Wolfman though (KV, 21 hour exact pop NMs, Taisaijin/Vilma et al.), so it could require some unknown method to pop that would require nobody present as he popped it. This is the most bizarre scenario, but matches up best with the account of "waiting at the zone while the NM was killed."
What would you have done if it DID take your adaman hauberk?Originally Posted by Kaylia

The more I look at this the more I tend to be reminded of something.
From most posts I've been reading over a very long time since the thread started, people mention trading this-or-that.
Has anyone tried spamming a possible item repeatedly? While I realize that someone probably has and not said so, there is an NM that works like this:
http://ffxi.somepage.com/mobdb/3534
For the above NM you could trade 1 pamama or even a full 4 stacks like I have before until it will pop. Could Goblin Wolfman be a -combination- of drinks or even just an incredible amount of attempts from a mundane drink?
The difference with that is that it actually TAKES the items you give...
If said person is an employee of SE and got the recipe through internal channels, and was making gil off this insider info, he would most likely be disciplined/fired from work if he was caught doing this.Originally Posted by Bagel
Not that low post count people are allowed to disagree with das oldskoolen, but I think this must be what you meant to write.Originally Posted by aurik

I just tried Water Barrel, Mana Barrel, and Beverage Barrel. None of those work. Maybe will try a Hallowed Water later
Some people need to learn when to quit...
Some people need to learn when to keep their BS opinions to them selfs.
Genmu on Seraph Server said;
I spotted a PLD mithra some time back on our server wearing the gorget.
I asked her what dropped it and how to pop it and all she said was goblin wolfman and cursed beverage.
I was @ bastok markets AH at the time when i was lvling GS.
Just haven't thought of it since then, until i seen the post listed when i came to killing ifrit main page.
and im not really too concerned abought latent effect items..
This is the guy who originally said it was Armita posted this on another message board.
Has anyone actually tried Amrita yet?
I was going to try it, but Siren's economy is in the toilet atm (gogo people selling Nobles at a 2m loss yay!)Originally Posted by Mugmug
If anyone does it, please remember to try the cursed beverage first before you uncurse it also. Cursed beverage is drinkable by a normal PC and causes poison, so a goblin might like it.
I'm gonna try cursed beverage in a little bit.
