    So what he's suggesting is:

    Water
    Tea Leaves
    Maple Sugar OR honey
    Some mushroom or coral fungus
    Some vinegar
Some cloth (fingernail sack seems extremely likely)

That leaves possibly 1-2 more ingredients if they want to max out the synth.
Also, all tea syntheses use a fire crystal.
I would still try out dark and water crystals for all of the synth combinations just to be safe. (Goblins are just plain strange.)

It was added when CoP first came out, the only reason I suggested it was it's made from Rock Salt + Mov. Water. And since people kept saying Mov. Water needs to play a role in it, I thought about looking at what the water is used for, and it only has 6 recipies:

    Baking Soda - Alchemy ( 22 )
    Fish & Chips - Cooking ( 78 )
    Fish & Chips - Cooking ( 74 )
    Hermes Quencher - Alchemy ( 93 )
    Hyper Ether - Alchemy ( 79 )
    Hyper Potion - Alchemy ( 68 )

Since we can pretty much cross out Fish and Chips and Hyper Ether/Potion that leaves us with Baking Soda and Hermes Quencher, I've tried the Quencher in the past with no sucess and after looking at some of the f*cked up stuff goblins put in their food, I thought Baking Soda could be part of the recipie.

Is there a list anywhere of items that can be obtained by mining in Oldton or Newton? I'm going to start compiling a list of things I scavenge in the zones. I don't recall everything I've scavenged there before, but that said, the only time I recall using it there was when I was trying to find firesand for the furnaces. Maybe I'll try scavenging directly on the Scrawled Writing - lol.

Also regarding Baking Soda. It wasn't added until December 2005 according to somepage's patch notes, 5 months after the NM was added. While it doesn't rule out the possiblitly completely, I don't think it's part of the answer.

having mined there for a long ass time, other than ores, the only things you get are goblin die, moblin helm/mail/armor/mask, and igneous rocks.

I think it was already mentioned but could the lame bar in upper Jeuno be a hint? They added that item to make it more accessible the same patch, and they have a bunch of drink and vegetable there.

Does anything happen if you trade the Movalpolos water to the NPC in the tavern? Maybe he offers to make you a drink with it or something =P

I was gonna do it the methodical way, calculate the possible ingredients for drink and just cross off a list as I try 'em...

Now hoping someone on Ifrit can shakedown the ingredient info from the guy who's making them, because choosing from a probable ingredient list of 38 (veggies and stuff), making sets of six ingredients (other 2 slots for Fingernail Sack and water)............you get more than 2 million possible unique combinations. (Yay, combination calculator.)

    I'm gonna go synthesize a White Russian and listen to emo music now. ;;

Worse than that since water (not sure if you meant distilled or moval) and fingernail sack aren't guaranteed by any stretch of the imagination.

I'm sure it has been posted and I will apologize in advance if it has, but as far as I know minus Quadav Mage Blood (DRK AF) Fresh Blood which already pops a NM and Chimera Blood which was added with ToAu are there not 8 other different bloods? Has anyone tried trading all 8 at once?

Avatar, Beast, Beastman, Bird, Black Beetle, Dragon, Fiend, Lizard.

By the fact that there's exactly 8 of them that sounds kinda good...

Ok, I've been reading this thread from start to finish and I don't think anyone has tried Rarab Tail in the recipe on page 10ish, and when I ran the translation of a supposed recipe in Japanese into a translator I got this:

You discovered [reshipi] of [goburindorinku] (with being thought,).
When it is too difficult with skill 60, it comes out.
The egg distilled water of the flax sack honey 蟲 where the vegetable ×2 nail of darkness [uindasu] brown leaf [gisaru] enters
    * [hueiku] it is inserted a little

The description of Goblin Drink is something like this: This Goblin beverage is a mix of various strained vegetables.
Rarab Tail description is: Dark energy was used to germinate this strain of blue peas. Where it says vegetable x2 nail of darkness could that mean Rarab Tail? Maybe another strained vegetable with this? I remember killing Rarabs and Bees in Windurst at low lvl and tossing out the Rarab Tails. Feel free to flame me for w/e. I'm probably completely wrong but I feel that I am frustrated as any of you. ._.

Got a link to the original site where you found that recipe?

It's a bit ridiculous to demand that people read all of a 56 page thread before posting in it but we should anyway.

This is what the guy (on Page 11) deciphered the recipe as:

    ゴブリンドリンクのレシピ(と思われる)を発見しました。
    スキル60で難しすぎると出ます。

闇 ウィンダス茶葉 ギサールの野菜×2 爪の入った麻袋 蜂蜜 蟲の卵 蒸留水

    ※少しフェイク入れてあります。

    Rough 12am translation:
    -------------
I've discovered the Goblin Drink recipe (I think I've cracked it).
Difficult too see this lower than skill level of 60.

    Dark Crystal
    Windurstian Tea Leaves
Gyshal Greens x2 (at least that's what I'm going to interpret ギサールの野菜 as, took me a while to figure it out)
    Fingernail Sack
    Honey
Crawler egg (again I'm assuming this as the translation is insect egg and crawler eggs are in other Goblin recipes)
    Distilled Water

*Note: Something a little fake is present.
    -------------

Take that information as you will, I haven't been able to play for 2 months so I can't test this out before presenting it.
The link Mugmug posted that this guy was reading this off: http://jbbs.livedoor.jp/game/6954/stora ... 90722.html (Oh and I didn't go looking through that site, I just took the Japanese text from this guy's post. Maybe sub in Rarab tails? Falling asleep, I'll check back in the morning.)
