Yet you continue doing it when you surely don't have much if any of the af belts/capes, many of which are good. The PLD cape is just godly.
Chance for progression AF > chance of e-peen AF.
Progression AF? What are you talking about?

And valor cape isnt the only AF belt/cape... Theres a lot of good stuff. Valor is simply the best, and easily eclipses those 3 you showed. The balance is great on it, HP AND Enmity AND VIT makes a good cape.

http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/7990 is good for THFs who you let control hate (which is a good amount of hate tossed on your tank)

http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/7989 Is pretty damn good for DRKs who do their entire job.

http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/7981 Better than swift for HNMs and arguably for merit parties

http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/7980 Best belt by far for RNGs

    http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/7975 Pure amazing

    http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/7982 See above

Those are the great pieces, normal AF including your two chosen pieces can drop as well, as can the laughable but not quite useless AF-1 things.

And for true enmity whore PLDs... http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/8033 is just beyond godly

AF that actually makes people better. BLM hat, BRD pants, RDM hat, PLD body, etc. I'd rather spend time getting people that stuff than getting e-peen gear from CoP dynamis... and this is coming from someone that's had some BRD AF2+1 for over 4 months.

Af belts and capes, certain hydra gear, and even a few (like 2 lol) AF2+1 are quite useful. Plus you can get the old AF from CoP dynamis. Sorry, but if people find out a way to do it well, farming CoP dynamis will be more efficient.

<.< You can get 2h in dyna-tav... and with 18 people...so though its less time for dyna-xarc, if you can get half the drops as dyna-xarc, you get the same amount of drops if you split into 2 groups. And 1mil is nothing.

A simple currency drop rate boost would go a long way towards making the CoP zones efficient farming, as they are they're a change of pace and decently fun but hard to justify doing very often. Some of the belts and capes are nice including the MNK one for Chi, but the currency drop rate compared to city farming is crap. Even Xarc is better currency on average because so many mobs can potentially drop 100 coins. Make the Bubu dragons/Valk-Qufim NMs have a low/moderate 100 coin drop rate and make every CoP zone boss autodrop a couple 100s, and you have some really great zones to farm WHILE trying to get those capes and belts.

Drop rate did get boosted from first release. Mobs are commonly dropping 2 coins the last couple runs we did, the first few runs we were lucky to come out with more an a couple dozen coins unless we got really lucky and a 100 dropped from a stone. We got over 100 coins last run without getting a 100 coin. Thats still not great, only 1/2-1/4 a city run.

Xarc hates my shell, in like 25 runs we've had 0 BLM, 0 SAM, and 1 RDM. Scattering of other AF but never more than 3 drops a run, maybe once we had 4 drop.

It's not like we're low on THFs either, usually have 4-6 with us.

Probably. Noone actually roots for melee drops. (not to mention really horrible ones.)

SAM isn't really horrible, at least it gets used.

    DRK is really horrible.

Our last Glacier run we had absolutely 0 AF2 all the way to clearing the lake before the Megaboss.

We had a ton of time left so we went back to kill the Yagudo & Quadav Dynamis-Effigy (Hydras were just too far a walk).

We clear all the Quadav and the Effigy, 0 AF2.

We clear almost all of the Yagudo & their effigy, 0 AF2.

While yelling and complaining about horrid AF2 drop rate the last 5 Yagudo we killed dropped 2 Bst AF2!

I think I would have rather had 0 AF2 drop, felt like a complete slap in the face from SE. I think both pieces went to players who did not even have Bst AF2 yet.

Edit: Dynamis-Buburimu you can actually farm quite effectively and an earlier poster mentioned that killing the corresponding dragons only reduces the effectiveness of the abilities so he doesn't spam them, that's entirely untrue. If you kill one of the dragons he will 'try' to use its ability and it will do absolutely nothing, which is even better since it effectively wastes one of his attack turns when he tries. This is completely unlike in Valkurm where he will still potentially use their abilities and they will have an effect.

In my experience so far Valkurm indeed could be qualified as 'glitchy' whether or not that's what SE intended. It's dramatically unlike either Qufim or Buburimu where you can make the Megaboss dramatically easier by killing a few select NM's.

I've noticed some dynamis changes since the ToA pre-patch.

Eyes in Beaucedine and xarcabard doing different moves

Dynamis Lord seems to have deleveled

Location of mobs in Valkurm after the boss dies. Its as if the whole zone shifts east (maybe this isnt new but I never noticed it before. ex. all the statues and stuff from tunnel to secret beach near outpost after boss and sheep blocking way to SE section of map.
