FFXI Crash while playing

Same, crashes during laggy areas, (usually during EXP PTs), crashes when I open up movie files etc, websites. It seems to be a general error/issue for everyone, I dont think its a matter of just reinstalling.

my POL only crashes under certain conditions

a) Internet with a movie file playing (not flash, youtube/google vid is fine, but a .wmv will crash pol) This crashes both AOL and FFXI for me.

That's been happening to me too over the past few months. Never happened before Square broke Windower and we had to wait an age for it to be repaired but whether it's an issue with that or just a coincidence I don't know.

I've actually run into the same problem as well. The WMV makes my whole computer slow down to a crawl and FFXI go kablooie. Glad it's not just me.

I've been getting a vastly increased amount of crashes lately as well (I normally lag like crazy, but it's rare POL actually used to bomb out to the desktop).
