Our first win on the 2nd BC. I feel somewhat cheated.

I'd have been happy to see Mask or Staff, rooting for Mask since I want it, lol.
I might have even been happy if we'd gotten some cashmere to put towards a Manteel since we only have 1 actual Vrtra kill under our belts.
Side note, what are people's clear times for this BC like?
That was our first win and it was 55 minutes and change. One of our losses we were booted at time out after some issues with the 4th smn and a tank dying.

So looks like 2 Bahamut pieces are 100%, with just about every Material drop being chance. Did you have ANY TH at all? Cause those are some really bad drops.
As far as times, I believe they were 40 and 45mins respectively, with the first one actually being shorter, due to some craziness at 10% and below.
Gay, We have yet to see a mask drop.Originally Posted by Not Kuno

Nope, no TH in our fight.
Was essentially stacked with 2 full Blm parties & 1 full tank party with some extra Whm along as well.
Bring one, its not worth wasting the Monarch Orb on it without one.Originally Posted by Garret
Maybe we can make do without an extra Blm the next time.
Our main issue in each of our fights so far has been me, main tank, dying at around the 20-30% mark, including the one we won.
Well here's a question, who do you use to stun Firaga IVs, (or Terraflares, or w/e the tank needs a random stun?) Replace that person with THF/DRK and you're not losing any usefulness...and still gaining Treasure Hunter.Originally Posted by Garret
And...if you dont have any of the above, well get someone to do that. I practically saved our last run because of a stunned wing that would have dropped the main tank.
In the fight we won we had a single Rdm/Drk in the tank party who was responsible for stuns, so replacing them with a Thf isn't so much of an option.
One Blm party was x5 Blm + 1 Brd, although in general the Blm's did not need very much in the way of refresh.
If we mixed it up a bit I would have preferred an additional /Drk in the ally in order to delay a flare if needed, the death I had happened when he waited to do flare after reaching 20% & laid out a few other attacks first then flared after them before Whm's were able to get me back up. (1 of our Whms spent most of the fight D/C'ing constantly as well which didn't help).
We could probably replace 1 of the Brds with a Thf/Drk if needed which would give some extra stun potential as well as TH.
We've had like six fights. One B staff. Two masks. 5 DRAGON STAFFS.
If your LS's SMN's are fapping waiting for B Staffs, tell em to stop or risk it falling off by the time a B staff drops.
my 1st bahamut v2 fight mirrors yours, except we also got a cashmere thread.
Our first got every drop minus Hose and Scythe >_>
thf/drk's stun wont get resisted?
Nope. Stun can get resisted at some point. Still trying to figure out where/when it'll happen.Originally Posted by Stellar
It built a resistance to stun, and thf has no basic Dark skill so with the 130 or whatever you get by subbing DRK wasn't enough to bypass his resistance, so it was resisted.
Heck, sometimes on exp mobs my BLM's stun gets resisted (goblin in bibiki resisted it once, at L66, with capped Dark skill). So theres always a minimal chance it will get resisted on any mob, I think, the less skill you have the more chance.
Theres also a secondary theory I have heard, and that is when you damage a monster, its resistances to XXX spell/element decrease. Like fafnir who builds up sleep resistance, say it has like 20% resistance, and killing 5% of its HP will bring it back down to 0%, etc. Or timed intervals, like hate deterioration of BLM etc. ^^;
