Have you actually done Besieged (recently)?

The monsters get into the main court quickly and split up like crazy. And the biggest reason is... I've seen it with 400ish and have lag just as bad or better than a 64-member Dynamis.

Last night. 3 times. Monsters don't split up when they're getting gang-banged by the 700 people who have rushed to the gate.

As for putting a level restriction on, wow, that would have cut it down from almost 800 people last night to 650! Spectacular solution.

That is 150 models less to load and would make a fantastic different, are you stupid?. I've seen with my own eyes the Beastmen would break into central tower, while others more toward Whitegate zone and some by the guilds. You combine this with the fact more waves were coming in and seeminly being stopped or waitting near their entrance. There was still a massive amount of lag with +700 people, but with 500 or less, it would have been a lot better.

Boot people out / lock people out and giveh some message:
"We're sorry, but you are not strong enough to defend the city of Aht Urhgan".

This is a decent idea, but SE knows already if they did that players would only complain making matters worse.

SE wouldn't give a shit. It took them over two years to change DRGs and they still suck.
