Well, I thought it was only going to be a trilogy. Halle Berry (Barry... whatever) said this is her last X-Man film. However, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if they got rid of Storm anyways since she is the worst character ever created. Worse than Jar-Jar.

One question I have is why the hell didn't they pick a classic story-line to follow? There are so many fantastic stories out there but they decide to mash a few together and see what happens...

PS. They filmed the first one near where I work and I got to be an extra in it. It paid shit but was fun to do.

Nothing could EVER beat jar jar as the worst character ever created. >_> I'm sorry.

I think it was Bryan Singer who said once in an interview that the reason why the werent gonna put the dark pheonix saga like it actually is in the comics/tv, is because it would be too hard for people to understand at this point.

And yea i didnt liked that they put the cure plot and the pheonix and some other stuff together either, but i really doubt this will be that last.

Silly but somewhat true answer: Superboy!Prime punched time.

He punched the hell out of time and undid Jason's death.

    That is the explanation.

For a more detailed explination (if you care) check out the wikipedia entries of Superboy Prime and Jason Todd.

As for Cyclops, from what I've gathered, I don't think he's dead... just MIA. Kinda hinted at in an interview, since at the same time James Marsden was filming Superman Returns.

My brother and I have our tickets:O

I remember the first midnight showing of the last Star Wars movie and alot of the people came dressed up as diffrent characters in the diffrent movies. It was pretty cool and probably the best atmosphere I've ever experianced in a movie theatre.>_>

I have heard good things about him in the past, but his X-Men run has been nothing short of wretched. He seriously had no grip on the characters and seems like he is completely in over his head for storyline.

Can't they just have Joss Wheaton write all three X-Men books?
Grant Morrison's New X-Men series was really fucking good, to the point that it renewed my faith in the franchise.

Morrison did some good work in his X-Men run, but he also did a lot crap.

    Good-
    No uniforms.
Made Emma Frost a member of the team.
    For Beast-centric stories.
Got Professor Xavier out of the wheelchair.
    Xorn was awesome.
X-Corp kept many good characters from sliding out of existence.

    Bad-
Made lots of mutants with crappy powers. (Before Morrison's run, most mutants did not stick out in a crowd and that is what made them feared.)
    Had Wolverine on his team.
    Killed Magneto.
Turned Beast into "Tony the Tiger on barbiturates".
Cassandra Nova was a stupid villain.
    Broke up Cyclopes and Phoenix.
Inexplicably brought Magneto back to life posing as the cool character Xorn (who lived in a house with three of the most powerful telepaths on the planet but managed to fool them) ruining both of the characters.
Made Magneto an even more clichéd villain than even the hackiest of writers ever managed.
Had Magneto kill Phoenix in a way that still has not been explained. (Reminded me of the Lobo vs. Wolverine fight in DC vs. Marvel, it was so dumb that they did not bother explaining how Wolverine won.)
Put Professor Xavier back in a wheelchair.
Killed off some of the more interesting characters that he created. (For example, two of the Stepford Cuckoos.)
    Killed Magneto yet again.

And Peter David is like a god to me. His new X-Factor run is amazing. (As was his old X-Factor run, his Supergirl series, Young Justice, both Fallen Angel series...)

They need someone to do X-Men, after Joe Casey and Peter Milligan, that book is in major trouble. (Seriously, can Superboy Prime punch the universe to make the "Island of Nightcrawlers" and "Gambit is Death" things go away?)

I didn't mind the crappy-power mutants, it was a throwback to JMS's 'Rising Stars' series (holy god that was a great series) and helped to more clearly define just how good the original XMen really are.

Morrison's still done more for the series than any writer in the last 10-ish years.

If you're going by story line of the Xmen comic books, you won't like the movie. But if you're going by kick ass use of powers in a movie, this movie FUCKING OWNS. You can watch as many previews as you want and try to predict what happens during the movie, but the previews are nothing compared to the movie itself.

Im not a fan of the comics, tho im familiar with the story. Still I didnt liked and not only because of the multiple.. u know. Didn't liked the lines of many of the characters and I understand theres way to many mutants now to let them all have screen time, but.. Not gonna discuss to avoid spoilers, If you liked it cool, if you didnt /comfort.

oh also there was another scene after the credits incase u missed it =P

    Sucked too but oh well!

Well, even with the multiple you knows, it's not like they you knowed any people with cool abilities. I liked how they gave storm more screen because she's my favorite mutant <3
um, dark pheonix, totally blew my expectations away of what they were going to do with her
the cheesy lines, like magneto's 'my brothers' kind of annoyed me, but it has to be said
i actually thought there were parts in the movie that some people might be offended by, but i still stand by my decision as being outstanding...
i didn't stay for the ending credits, but someone told me what happened...it sounds cool, but like, i'm pretty sure this was only a trilogy, so meh, good for the ending credits

Well unless someone edits topic and puts spoilers ill still avoid the "u knows",

    Spoilers ahead kind of:

I was actually worried that storm was gonna be the huge star cuz of halle's bitchin, but she was just bigger than anyone else but wolverine and jean, She barely gets line either, Angel apears like 4 times, colossus gets 3 lines total..., Juggernaut... wall... /sigh, seriously thats just dumb =P, They also made mystique look like this whiny hurt woman who wanted revenge, Who btw well u know.., Im mad the guy didnt even gaved cyclops a proper ending, i mean he apears in 2 scenes total, 3 if u count the "flash back", and they dont even show.. /sigh.

Lol it was really bad but...sigh all i can say lol, nothing good came out of it

From the comics and showstandpoint you'd hate it, but I tried to forget it and think of it as something new. It was pretty nice, except I didn't like how they ended it kinda abruptly. :/

I can't fucking believe they put "I'm the Juggernaught Bitch!" in the fucking move, that was insane!

    Spoilers!!!

The movie was good as it was, if you weren't following story, and I"m glad Cyclops got his emo ass raped 15 minutes into the movie. Kitty is fucking awesome, Ice man finally becomes Ice Man, and Pyro is cool even though he got his ass kicked.
