Thats because the guy had no idea how to interpetrate Pheonix's story, also juggernaut is a mutant but he supposed to be Xavier's step brother or something like that

The Juggernaut's dad married Xavier's mom or something. But like Juggernaut wasn't born a mutant. He found some rock and was given his powers. Technically, he wouldn't be a mutant b/c his powers aren't from a mutated x gene unless that rock mutated his genes or something. I dunno. lol
The Juggernaut is his Xaviers Brother.
I liked the movie and i think they have a lot of options to make a 4th movie, one would be to continue the Phoenix Story.
Other one would be the one of the future (if u watched the toons u know what im talking about)
Or.. Apocalypse, which i doubt they will make >.>
His X Genes were dormant. He unlocked them with "mystism" to become the Juggernaut.Originally Posted by Setsuko

fixed. they're not blood-related. and yeah like i said he gets his power from a GEM that he finds somewhere.. crazy.. I forget. He isn't technically supposed to be a mutant but they made him one in the movie.Originally Posted by darkdeath
But doesn't Juggernaut lose his power and another Juggernaut takes over after a certain time in the comics?
This is when the new Juggernaut finds the rock or some shit.
Everything I read along time ago explained it as the gem unlocked what was already there, but I could be wrong. Last time I read comics on a daily basis was like eight years ago, now when I'm bored in Boston I just go to Newbury Comics on Newbury St. and browse around for a couple hours.Originally Posted by Setsuko
Juggernaughts catch phrase in the comics was always "I'm the Juggernaught!" they just added bitch to make him sound more hard i guess but it seemed appropriate
the movie itself was pretty innacurate, for example, juggernaut isn't a mutant like others. He got his powers from a gem that he found in a lost temple. His powers could not have gotten taken away.
While serving together in the Korean War, Cain and Charles stumbled onto the ancient temple of Cyttorak, lost for centuries. On an altar, Cain saw a huge red gem, the Crimson Ruby of Cyttorak, and immediately grabbed it. Upon the gem was an inscription, and he spoke it aloud: "Whosoever touches this gem shall be granted the power of the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak! Henceforth, you who read these words, shall become ... forevermore ... a human juggernaut!"
The cavern collapsed. Charles was able to escape, but it took Cain years to dig himself out as he underwent the transformation. Cain seethed with rage at his step-brother and, after finally emerging from the mountains he was buried under, set out to hurt Charles as much as possible.
Don't think juggernaut is all powerful though, this is pretty funny
lol, remember the "But I'm the juggernaut bitch" video a tthe end? While serving together in the Korean War, Cain and Charles stumbled onto the ancient temple of Cyttorak, lost for centuries. Movie was good, I liked it.
I'm not a comic book reader, but I do recall the X-men cartoon from when I was younger. Their interpretation was that Juggernaught was born with the X-gene, but it didn't take effect during puberty like with other mutants so he sought a mystic to activate it for him.
I wish i could download that seriesOriginally Posted by nivlakian

On ebay you can buy the whole series on DVD. I got it a while back. Forget how much it was, but its pretty nice. The guy even made box covers so that when you line the DVDs up on a shelf it has all the xmen formed together.. its pretty cool.
damnit you already saw it Zigma?
I'm in the city right now, was going to ask you to go w/ me and nik
The line was supposed to be a reference to the hilarious parody dub of an x-men episode, that's why it was said the way it was. And yes, jugg's power comes from the gem of cyttorak. Whether or not that unlocked a dormant Xgene in him or not I don't exactly remember but without it he can't do much of anything except take up space. Well that and if you fuck with his helmet, he got that shit in the 4th grade.Originally Posted by whm_mahler

Rogue... is ugly lol. Jean got alot uglier since X2.![]()
There's been discussion about it, she's 19 >_>
his catchphrase in the comics was still "im the juggernaught" but you may be right about them copying that dubbing. and last i read from my xmen encyoclopedia i thought it said that Leech can negate anyones "super abilities/powers" not just limiting him to using it only on mutants.. i'll recheck tho.
