The more I think about it, I wonder what they could possibly do for a 4th movie.. like which story would they go along with. I remember when Professor X died in the comics back in the early 90s, we had the age of apocalypse where all hell broke loose. I wouldn't really see that being made into a good movie, however.

Hmm I don't know. A friend of mine suggested they could possibly make a movie based off of Wolverine's story, but I'm not so sure how exciting that would be. What kind of storyline do you guys think a fourth movie would have?

they could go all the way back when he was in alpha flight, where he worked with Captain America.

Or "Weapon X" when he fell in love with Silver Fox( i think ).

Lots of things they can do still, i bet you there will be more blood spillage.

his powers are magical, not mutant. whoever possess the gem and speak the inscription becomes the Juggernaut.

"Whosoever touches this gem shall be granted the power of the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak! Henceforth, you who read these words, shall become ... forevermore ... a human juggernaut!"

The Juggernaut is pretty much indestuctable. In the comics, the x-men can only slow him down for awhile. His only real weakness was his mind, thats why he wears the helmet to protect himself from Xavier and other telepaths.

I'm a bit skeptical as to how exciting a movie based off of Wolverine's past can be.

I'd see any movie with Wolverine. His character is a badass.

Watching Wolverine inch up towards Phoenix, with his flesh being torn apart and healing almost instantly, exposing his chest w/ the metal skeleton...was just badass. I <3 Wolverine.

Ohhhhh, fuck yea man, that was the best scene in the movie IMO. It's probably gonna be a Weapon X movie... Might set it up for the next one after that.

I wish they had more of Angel in the movie... They showed him so much in the previews... granted his escape scene was bad ass.

Just finished watching X2, forgot how much I liked it too. I loved X3, but I do wonder how it would've turned out if byran or w/e (original director from the first 2) hadn't left for superman.

From my point of view I seriously doubt Brett Ratner had much to do with the problems myself and others have with the movie. The execution of the movie was well done, I just think it was flawed to begin with, i.e. the script. It kind of reminded me of the Hulk movie. Everything built around the script was really nice, but the storyline itself was fundamentally flawed. Along the lines of that old saying, "No matter how much you polish a turd it's still made of shit."

Edit: I can see how people who don't know jack-shit about the X-Men could enjoy this, since like 90% of the issues I had with it were the how much they fucked with classic storylines. Storyline is so fundamentally perverted at this point that they couldn't really base any new stories in the same continuity without making up shit on their own (and anyone who watches Naruto or saw Rurouni kenshin back in the day knows how awful things can get when people decide to make up their own stories around established properties).

If they do make another movie I'd maybe like to see them deal with some spinoff storyline or alternate reality that occured in the X-Men. It wasn't really the best storyline ever presented, but the Age of Apocalypse could make for a pretty decent movie spinoff, most of the stuff in that could be condensed into a 2 to 2 and a half hour movie, plus X-man was always kind of a cool character

i know alot about x-men and marvel comics in general and i still liked the movie. i agree some of the mutant fights could of been better but all in all it was pretty good. Also i agree with Xavier if you compare the movie to the comic storylines of course you wont like it, it's not meant to follow it exactly.. leech was a green boy not a white kid with a shaved head. also callisto isn't supposed to have super speed.

Someone posted earlier that nightcrawler wasnt in this one because in the comics he is off finding himself or something. in the next movie would he most likely be in it again? and what about magneto, he obviously still has his powers, is he still a villian or does he turn good as ive heard people hint?

I don't really remember how the whole deal with it went since it's been a long while since I read the X-men comics religiously, but Angel's blood was found to have restorative powers. I don't really remember much about the storyline where it was manifesting itself other then that his blood burned Nightcrawler other then healing him :X

They explained him not being in the third movie during the new X-men game.

But the reason he wasn't in the third movie, outside of them obviously writing him out of it, was because the actual actor, Alan Cummings or w/e, complained about having to put so much makeup on each day and didn't want to do the role again.
