controlling minds is more plausible because of the whole humans only use 15% of mind crap and what if used more
manipulating metal is more plausible because the entire earth is based off magnetism and what not, and people are a part of that, i'm sure everyone has some small amount of magnetic force, just magneto's mutation amplified his, just like jean grey's and prof x's unlocked ability to use more than 15% of their brains
but manipulating the weather is just totally random, although an awesome power to have
you're overthinking if you try to rationalize the reality of a mutants powers
with this logic i can say that humans are predominantly water and theres a lot of that in the atmosphere thus maybe storm's mutation grants her control of it blah blah blah. trying to put any logical spin on most of these powers is futile.Originally Posted by Merlyn

yeah i guess, but the question was just mostly aimed at whether or not storm was a mutant or something else
but she has more control than just water, she can control lightning and the wind, toowith this logic i can say that humans are predominantly water and theres a lot of that in the atmosphere thus maybe storm's mutation grants her control of it blah blah blah. trying to put any logical spin on most of these powers is futile.
About Angel - He is later turned to ArchAngel and is one of the Death incarnations. He is one of the strongest characters and feared (to some extent) by Apocolypse. At one point, ArchAngel saves Apocolypse from dying.
When you show cool previews, and show lots of fan's favorite characters, you don't fuck them up as much as this movie did. That is why people don't like it.
Also, I figured a Colossus vs. Juggernaut fight would COMMON FUCKING SENSE in this movie. I don't see how you could like this movie, with or without knowing the GOOD storylines.
i know, im making a point that the justifications you provide have just as much room for interpretation. regardless, its a comic, its fantasy, and to explain this shit would defy all laws of science.
and i understand that all their powers are impossible, but, the question was to people who have read the comics, is storm just another mutant? or is she something different? aka jugg's powers are magical, pheonix is from space, blah blah blah
yeah colossus and juggernaut woulda been cool, are they rivals in the comics? also, my problem with juggernaut was he was so damn small in comparison to what i saw before. granted to make him an accurate size they woulda needed to digitize it like the hulk or somethin.Originally Posted by Weltall
ahh i see, my fault. i think shes just a mutant as i havent heard anyone here or anywhere else mention otherwise.Originally Posted by Merlyn
colossus's rival is omega red, which was in the credits as being in the movie lol, but colossus is supposed to be russian...and in both 2 and 3, he didn't have an accent
juggernaut's rival is prof x, at least, that's always who he wants to go to first when he gets free
storm is a mutant, yes.
juggernaut is prof x rival but later turns good.
guys, read wikipedia :X
yeah colossus definately was american grown lol. and i remember the whole xav/jug conflict but they are so different, are there any brutes that jug has a rivalry with?
Juggernaughts brute rival is Gladiator big purple dude with mowhawk. and about Angel's blood has an extra X factor that allows him to heal others and himself.
hulk etc but juggernaut is prob the strongest brute of them all.Originally Posted by Andarvi

i mean are there any brutes in the x-men world that often fight with jug in heated battles.
ok sorry I was on my way out when I posted that and didn't really have much of a chance to elaborate.Originally Posted by Xavier
As far as Wolverine goes, he's always been one of my favorite characters in the comic books (Wolverine, Gambit, Storm being my old faves.), and I love him in the movies. Thinking back to reading the comics, however, it tended to get kind of boring whenever there were issues exploring Wolverine's past. I'm sure they could spice it up in a movie.
And about Gladiator being the Juggernaut's BRUTE rival,
I think he was referring to the fact that Gladiator can rival Juggy strength-wise. Keyword: BruteStrength Level: Gladiator possesses Class 100 strength, enabling him to lift (press) over 100 tons. The uppermost limit of Gladiator’s strength is unknown. He has proved capable of uprooting the entire 35 floor original Baxter Building, and has boasted to be able to move planets. Possibly Gladiator employs technical means to boost his strength enough to lift (press) beyond what others in the Class 100 strength category can lift.
Known Superhuman Powers: Gladiator is the most powerful known member of the Imperial Guard. In addition to his extraordinary strength, he is virtually invulnerable, and has survived an explosion of nearly nova force uninjured.
that plus he has fought juggernaught and pretty much bitchslapped him and not talking about the dubbing of the juggernaught episode thing where he made that appearance on the cartoon.
