I dunno... Ward has been spectacular, but he did get pulled in the Buffalo series.

Brind'Amour is the leading goal-scorer of the playoffs and his goals have mostly been big goals in big spots. Not to mention that he is all over the place on the penalty kill. Sentimental considerations might be in his favor as well.

You noticed that too eh? They only seem to score on the PP so it would be in Edmonton's best intrest to minimize their penalties as much as they can. Edmonton can still take this if they shore up their defense and start scoring on their own power plays.

kinda hard when the refs are obviously trying to win it for Carolina. this is the only flawed aspect of the game (other than massive injury rates), games can be fixed with refs especially with the new NHL.

Refs have been against the Oilers ever since they played the Red Wings, but that didn't stop 'em. MacTavish is also aware of this fact and I hope he wins it cuz I think he's the most down-to-earth coach in the NHL today.

Let's hope the Oilers realize that they are 2 games away from the cup and that they give it their 200%.

if I could get a replay of all the bullshit penalties called on edmonton, I'd point em out.

I clearly remember two penalites that are utter bullshit.

Greenes tripping penalty, I think on Staal. HE NEVER CAME CLOSE TO TOUCHING HIS LEGS OR FEET FOR CHRIST SAKES. Staal shot the puck off balance, and he fell on his own. This bullshit penalty of course lead to a goal.

Middle of the second, two people are racing for the puck. The Carolina player is clearly on the end of his shift, as he's stumbling around. He loses his footing and the Edmonton player gets a penalty ?? I think this lead to a goal.

There was also that penalty someone got for (I think) hooking Rod Brind'Amour off the draw...lol.
