I'm pretty sure that it was a deliberate deletion (Ghaleon hints at it in the SS). Deliberately delete your account, make a char with same name, and then recover the character and rename it. Similar stuff happened with a character named "Ant" a year or 2 ago.

Of course ... there's so few NA with mantle on our server (2?), it will be kind of obvious who Chronce is still ...

I'd be more impressed if that much fire resist gear could almost nullify Teraflare.

I was originally under the impression that +fire resist didn't help against flare, I thought it was akin to meteor in its more or less non-elemental state.

Flare, and all of Bahamut's Flare WS, are all fire-based.

So far as I know, Meteor is the only spell that is non-elemental.

It worked on #1 and #2.

We never had a Teraflare happen, so there's no way to tell what damage I would've taken.

I had 338ish Barfira at the time from gear, Barfira, and Carol. It was an awesome cut in damage and it worked well, but later on I ended up just using -magic gear instead to save trouble and get a little more consistancy without any risks, since I'm normally the sole tank for him in that BC.

i'd definetly agree with this, since Chronce apparently tried to steal a mantle before but he didnt outlot the highest lot, if he got a mantle then i would suspect that he'd be on a different character name by now.

gotta love thief mentality sometimes: if you steal enough shit for everyone to hate you, just come back on a different character name and no one will be the wiser
