Probably D.Ring above all...I'd rather spend months trying to figure out how to kill AV then camp and inevitably lose claim on KB time and time again. Not to mention D.Ring not just being an over-glorified Speed Belt. (don't get me wrong, it still kicks ass.)

Its ok Valefor had a SMN main lot and win it, I think he is leveling PLD though. Anyways the moral of the story is to only do LS Dynmais. I mean its not like its hard.

He unlocked it for the title so people would stop bugging him and never touched it as far as I know.

I never said that him leveling PLD justifed it, the fact that he is though makes up for part of it. Do I think several main job PLDs got robbed? Yeah. Oh and the whole race issue is a joke, race doesn't matter that much as PLD reguardless of what most people say.

Scenario: You're in a dynamis linkshell that's semi-public, with no set group of members and certainly not a single linkshell. You kill Dynamis Lord, he drops cape, and the linkshell leader says that it is free lot. Do you:
1. pass the cape because of all the goodwill you have towards paladins in other HNM LSes
2. lot the cape after waiting to see if a tank in your LS will win it
3. quit FFXI and just post random BS on forums that makes you sound clever, despite the fact that you have no knowledge of the situation or the circumstances involved.

At any rate, he is actually PLD70 and currently leveling (as much as a PLD can with the flood of invites they get), probably just to please you and Priran I expect.

So, some new light on the issue...apparently Chronce was invited as a guest in another linkshell a few weeks/days ago. He ninja-lotted the koga tekko....and lost and apologized profusely. Course no one believed him.

That is correct, Vade. Koga tekko dropped, Ryara won the lot. But, about three seconds before it dropped he lotted, when he lost, he took claim to the fact in /l that it was a mistake saying that he had meant to pass.

I have screenshots, but they're on my external.. I'll dig around for them sometime later this morning.

Secondly, I didn't take it as too big of a deal, at least not something forum worthy. I, as an officer, kept it within the linkshell due to the fact that he was guesting and would not be allowed to come back (as myself, Eka and the other leaders discussed). He lost the lot, no real story. Had I known Chronce was as much of an asshole as he is, I would have posted what happened long ago.

Unfortunately players ninja lotting / stealing items rarely results in their reputations being scarred to the point where they can't still be in some sort of Dynamis/HNMLS.

You can throw a dart at any KI thread of "ZOMG, Someone stole a (Ridill, Shadow Mantle, M.Body, A.Body, Kraken Club, etc)" and ultimately, all these people still play, are still in HNMLS and people simply accept the fact that this person stole an item once... or twice.

It's garbage in, garbage out. There's always some other HNMLS that will say, "Hey, that bastard isn't in an HNMLS, but has a ridill. Let's get him in our LS." People value gear more than anything.

On another note, I don't think Shadow Mantle is a "shitty item." I wear mine nearly full-time. It's "nullify" effect can sometimes be spotty. But, it is invaluable when you get hit for 0. It is debateable if other mantles are better. I won't speculate on them.

Yeah thats why I don't really care, open Dynamis is bullshit for that very reason. Issues like this are the very reason most people do LS only Dynamis now. Honestly that was the fairest way to do, and I really don't care how you guys work the lots.
