5% head, 3% feet, 5% legs. Another 4% from dusk hand I guess. If you use speed belt with that, you're still far from the cap.

Well, it IS possible to it 25% haste with gear on WAR with Turban, Dusk gloves +1, Speed belt, Byakko's haidate, Unicorn feet +1 and (lol)blitz ring. Blitz ring is obviously not worth it though, and dusk/unicorn +1 is too rare to really take into account so a decent WAR should be able to have 22% haste with gear. As for DRK, I don't care.

Oh and you can't remove Haste Belt to add on Speed Belt, the Haste effect will come off.

Okay, you win this round. Totally forgot about that axe, but wouldn't Fortitude axe be better anyway if you're not /nin?

I don't have a Fort but I SEVERELY doubt it'd be better because of it's DMG. I've yet to hear different either from people with Frot.

I did some parsing last year (right after sea NM were added), and fortitude axe was beating Byakko Haidate in term of DoT on mob in Lufaise Meadow (treant, sappling and buggard). In Xp party against weapon (or statue...can't remember), it parsed slightly under it after 10 minutes. (I know 10 minutes is short, but using g.axe in xp party is enough to make me go crazy).

Keep in mind that axe proc with double attack, meaning you can do 3 attack in a row (50% double attack + 20% base = ~70 DA). You also get 7vit, but since you lose the ammo slot. Can't really talk about gain here, but it's better than nothing.

I used it twice on fafnir as War/whm, and it was doing okay. I could spam 1 break every few seconds, and steel cyclone was doing almost the same than it does with Byakko Axe. I don't have any parsing for fafnir tho, I just went with the "feeling" it was better, which might be wrong.

If I understand correctly, gear cap at 25%, and whm+brd can give you another 25%, and on top of that, you add your dual wield bonus?

Byakko's Axe is a joke so it's kind of a moot point. :wink:

And no, the delay cap is 70%, not 50%. So you can get upwards of 45% with dual marchs, haste, and haste belt. Add in SV and you can get 65%. My GUESS is that each piece of haste is capped at 25%, with equipment being it's own entity. So each march is capped at 25%, haste spell is capped at 25%, ect.
