With 71's in pt, we were averaging more around 7.5k/hr - still not bad, and a nice stepping stone to Mire camps. Like others said, a real breath of fresh air...a nice change to standard xp. Blu owns the chigoes so hard its not even funny, thanks to one of the initial posters in this thread I had my blu tearing a hole in these after telling them how to play their job

One thing to note is that 71's occasionally won't get chain bonuses on these because the Chigoes will fall below for them - but the others in the pt lower than 71 continue with chain. Still good xp for everyone though.

Enjoy this camp while it lasts, right now no one is really up there. But seeing as how good the xp is, and the 2 min walk from Al Zhabi, I'd expect this place to get packed.

edit: I don't see an exp ring icon in the pic, but I'm guessing the ring effect just wore off before the shot + Corsair's role.

To be honest, I'm not so sure about that. I just can't fathom your average search comment-less, Bibiki Bay crews being able to handle it. And even if there are a few set parties on them, there are thirteen easier and four harder ones spread across Wajoam and Bhaflau Thickets with each party being able to survive on a single Marid, two at max.

Ok I just tried this with PLD, THF, WAR, RDM, WHM BLM. It failed, to say the least. We didn't get past chain 5 and by the time all but 2 had died due to OMG CHIGOES!? we were averaging about 3k/hr. I expected it to be a lot more.. um, worthwhile. What did we do wrong? Tips? Pointers?

Need more details to know what went wrong... first off, what levels were you? If you were 71+, chigoes would not have given you a good chain (it would be intermittant at best). Next, the chigoes need to be taken out ASAP, and best if done by the BLM with the biggest -aga he can throw at the Chigoe, thus also dealing damage to the Marid. Have the WAR provoke the chigoe when it spawns to keep it from running over and smacking the BLM to death. The reason you want the BLM to nuke the Chigoes is that they will never "fall to the ground" and net you 0 XP if they are killed that way. If they are meleed, there is a chance for a crit and thus loss of XP and potential loss of the chain.

Nin Blu Blu Blu Rdm Brd nazi party at level 65-66, blu are perfect for taking out chigoes. Chain 13-20 600 Xp(ring)/450 Xp (no ring). 25k/hr.

Im really looking forward to the next job I level to 75. Chigoes are level 71-73, so I figure a level 62 party would be able to get max exp from them. Maybe waiting to 63 would be a better idea for Frenetic rip. Need to find some crazy LS ninja that would be willing to go with me that early, itll definately take some flawless tanking to be able to pull off. It would take a year to kill a Marid, so you'll probably get a good 20 chigoes out per. If my calculations are correct that'd be a good 6-7k per marid. The only question is if it can be tanked that early, since thats almost a 20 level difference.

This camp is definately worth cleaning up while it lasts, its too good to remain a secret for long ;/

Well, we had problems spawning chigoes fast enough at the beginning so I told BLM to spam tier 1's to help with Marid TP. Towards the end, though, we had 3 Chigoes rape the hell out of our BLM and it went downhill from there. Also, Subtle Blow probably caused some of the mishaps. We were level 67ish when we did it. I don't think the WAR was paying very close attention because at some times he would just stand there... doing nothing. I'll try it again with some closer ingame friends and see if we can pull it off. That 35k/hr screenshot is reason enough to try again.

THF does sound like the worst but you could be giving the marid TP instead of the BLM
