Just curious though, I know you started dagger far before your thf was 75, was it because you wanted to play THF more end-game? or did you start it for RDM?

I started Bow back when RNG was king, but now I spend 90% of my time on THF and really enjoy it so I'm having second thoughts on bow.

Anyways, should look into pairing mandau with Merc. Kris or to a lesser degree, Ridill or Kclub for some serious Mercy Stroke spam. Blau with Homam, Brutal and full triple attack merits will also be a lot of fun and should pump out some heavy DoT too.

Well, I wouldnt mind playing thief end game, but I know 100% that if I do any end game events, it'll be "Come as RDM" or "come as BLM", who wants a thf . The dagger was actually a 2nd choice, at first I was doing staff, changed my mind after the MaB rumour was confirmed false, aswell as the fact I just realized "when the fuck are you going to swing that staff around? never". I didnt pick up thief till near the end of the mandau, because I didn't really want the mandau to fall into the trap of shitty relic weapons. I knew THF had nice potential, and I like the job, so I picked it up and speedlevelled it to 75 before the mandau was done

Essentially the dagger was for my RDM, it still is, even though I get more dmg out of Evisc than I do with Mercy, but it's truly amazing in a geared up thief's hands.

Mandau is a very nice weapon, if you are thief lots, go for it. The Jadeshells are the hardest of all to get if Fairy is anything like Asura.
If you really love both jobs, reguardless of what you pick, you'll kinda wish you had the other, but if you taake a serious think about it, and realize which job is on your mannequin and which you play alot, you'll see your choice. I suggest before you decide it's time to hand anything in, play both jobs for a day/week untill you've decided. Maybe you'll love your rng again But THF is frigging fun, nothing can hit you, i love that :D

I had fun with a Merc kris in Ballista, and with a kraken @ Bhaflau thickets. Kraken needed sushi for me to land it, it was Smack x1-3 with Mandau, then whiff x 2-8 on kraken, also TP return never received any extra attacks from offhand since the triple attacks never landed from the club However I think merc kris would be best if anything, for now I'll use Sirroco untill blau, not too sold over with the extremely low dmg.

Homam might be far away, I'm allergic to CoP, however today I did get myself the THF af2 shoes with Triple Attack+1, those look very fun, but no pts yet today (busy on my rdm , ouryu and baha).

I went and did some tests and calculations with different delay combinations and there's definitely a difference, but I think people overestimate how much it is, especially after the changes to TP rates. Obviously I'm talking about using a "normal" offhand, not merc/ridill/kraken.

So, what do you think is the TP gain ratio like between THF/NIN and THF/WAR? I'll post some numbers later.

TP gain is probably best now as THF/WAR (gogo Double Attack).

There is still a TP floor to be broken, thf/nin with the correct dagger setup is fastest still, but it has lost a lot of its offensive appeal.

I haven't been able to get below 4.5 on THF (dual 150 delay) but I don't have Suppa or Sarashi, if I did it might go to 4.4

A NIN with AF1 body, Suppa and AF2 legs using 150 daggers would answer this question pretty quick, I'm planning on testing it but my NIN's only 65 so its not like DW is anywhere near max on it.

Regardless of if 4.5 is a floor though, the tp/delay ratio does change at very low delay to favor the lowest delay, and that's why /NIN still gives an edge on TP gain even considering Double Attack. It just isn't anywhere near as much of an edge as before.

Floor depends on level of Dual Wield you have. So for a Thief, it's just down to 4.5 tp/swing. For a nin, since they have more Dual Wield, their tp floor is lower.

I get 9tp/round as Sirocco/Hornetneedle every single time, nin's can get 4.1tp/round with a similar dagger setup. As well, I get 9tp/round with my Blau/Sirocco still.
