eh idk, I'm never short on MP at puk burns, it got a little intense on chain 80+ in uleg range but the new zones are a complete and total joke. I don't drop below 50% mp, everOriginally Posted by Jeryhn

This depends on your party setup. I'm usually the sole healer/haster so we can pick up another DD for faster kills. I also haven't merited Convert, nor do I plan to.Originally Posted by Raineer
Impburn is a drain on your MP anyway, mostly because of healing melees who can't put up shadows.
You need melees that aren't too cheap to carry echo drops.Originally Posted by Jeryhn

Shinning Cloth
Behe Hides
Kriegsbel (sp)
And there is a couple other weapons that can still attract a good price, Unsho can still get a good price (for seller that is)
Well, ok the Behe BC is the one KS99 that is still worth doing based on a couple of drops, I noticed hides had a pretty high drop rate(33% or so based on the times I've seen it drop vs times we did bc), shinning cloth seemed to be about 25% drop rate though not guaranteed, they still can net you a higher chance at good drops than your average ODS run can (went 1/7 on a claw this past weekend, people tell me they are 0/20+ in seeing a good drop).
Yeah I guess it's based on setup, but NIN/WAR/WAR/WHM/RDM/BRD is still plenty overkill to get endless chains. All 3 support mages have WHM or /WHM and handle one melee. I literally do nothing but pull, WHM does the hasting.
btw that's exactly how you endless chain in uleg too, same setup and all I do is pull and crowd control. Bind is your friend for mp.
Echo drops tend to run dry at around chain 300.Originally Posted by aurik

IMO, ODS/DD/Copycat are probably the only KSNMs worse than Behe for drops, seal for seal -- ODS being the pits if you don't get claw -- and Behe is probably the best of the 3 KS99s since it drops unsho [about the easiest KS99 weapon to sell] and good synth mats. Still, shining cloth won't fetch you more than 8-9m on the market (thx2u platirum) and Behemoth Hides 6-7m? neither of which are appreciably more than the price of damascus ingots, divine logs, or unji, which are the major prizes from the better "other" KSNM.Originally Posted by othellojr
Consider that you give up 3.3 chances at a KS30 and need to get the support of 17 other people for KS99, and arranging the event is a mountainous task in itself, and the risk of failure that much greater.
Yea Behemoth is the best one to do still, but I don't think it measures up, not if you can do one of the lesser-spammed KS30s like Royal Ramble (guaranteed o.ingot?), Season's Greetings (75% chance d.log?), etc.
About Triple Attack, I've heard both 5% and 10% base but it really seems like more than 5% base. Been awhile since I got Triple merits and more recently Homam, so can't really judge from my current rates too well. Guess I'll try to go out and fight some reasonably high HP stuff and do exact activation counts manually... that's not gonna be fun though.
Well 5% base + 5% merit = 10%. So it doesn't matter anyway.
stroke my mercy
It's a mercy stroke, not a pity stroke.Originally Posted by kylewhat

Edit: I spammed Double Draconian one time, and the Dragon Heart seemed to be as bad a drop as V Claw in DS. I don't see why Divine Log in Season's Greetings would be any different, since these KS30 were implemented in the same update.

Maybe it's just Ninja tank either way, but unless you've had experience with this KS30, perhaps you should just STFU?
Anyways, Milkman's quote is a broad generic that does not wholely apply. While we've all come to love Ninja tanks in sky (back when people -did- sky), Paladin can tank Seiryu. Ninja can tank Seiryu. And the general best strategy for both does not include "tanking" the hundred fists. So...
Also, in Dynamis, with the lag...Ninja tanking MNK hundred fists ain't exactly pretty. It'd be rather brutal lag-free too, without rapid fire stuns so...
You were saying something about Season's Greetings or just trying to be clever?
I was being facetious actually.
I'd imagine the best way to beat the BC would be manaburning.

All SS's aside from Colibri / Buffalo were a normal thickets burn pt. I did try it on Abraxas/Rams again, but I was lagging out so hard in the pt, I got alottt of low levelled numbers. My WS would go off before SA, or sometimes it did, and it went off before the game registered my gear swap, so those numbers are for my eyes only![]()

im pretty sure there's Triple attack going off on the 2k colibri, but I cant confirm since I hit shortly after and didnt see the TP, unlike my other SS's where I took them almost right after I saw the mobs HP dip.
crazy wafik, looks like you're really enjoying your new toy though! Grats once again, so happy for ya :D
Looks to have a much higher cap than any other THF ws, which is awesome. Some of those numbers aren't that impressive, imo, but Wafik is not an uber thf just yet. But I don't have the gear to get myself over 2k+ on EP mobs and he can just with the dagger and some heca, so the dagger is showing some nice power.
