Dunno about you, but in online RPG's, there should be content for both types of gameplay , the fuck am I gonna do with content where I'm forced to drag 3-6 people to everything? Eat shit. I'd like to do some things without having to drag people out of what they're doing, just to please me.

4 months after the release of ToA we'll get chocobo raising (but have to wait 3 more months to race them), some merit point additions and a handful of new assaults and another cutscene in the "storyline." Oh boy, I can spend 30 seconds raising my chocobo then spend 3 hours going off to aery and stareing at a wall.

Yeah, because of course they didnt ALREADY add all these high level new zones, they didnt add a ton of monsters, they didnt add a fucking HNM, they didnt add a Walahra turban, they didnt add assaults, they released an expansion pack that was NOTHING but a chocobo breeding ground.

THANK GOD the story isnt too immensive, we already have CoP for that, and I sure dont wanna travel to sandy > bastok > coP land > bastok > sandy > windy > africa> cannes film festival > windurst > Just so I can know Tenzen did some stuff.

Unlike you, I see that people exist out of the HNM world. Unlike you, I aknowledge that there's more than darters to playing this game, and i'm having a fucking blast with it. The game is 20x more fun when there's no HNMs to camp every day. And unlike you, I realize that this is a nice addition to the game, tons of people play this game FOR FUN, Chocobo raising in the old FF games were FUN, side mini games you have fun with, when you're not working on the main story. But of course, how dare I think i'm "playing" a "game" , i'm really working everything I do for the linkshell, right?

If you don't mind paying a year in advance for it, ToA looks like it's adding a lot of great stuff for people like you who think of FFXI as a single player game with people in it. The rest of us thought we were getting an expansion to a multi-player game.

Fun? >_> I didnt have fun hunting chocobo for 3hours and reset the game 20 times because it didn't give me the right one. Not to mention watching the same race over and over to level them up. It was more a chore than anything in FF7. Only nice thing was to get them and run everywhere with it.

Sure it was tedious, but when I finally beat that bastard on the black chocobo in the arena and got my Gold Chocobo I was so pumped, and that was due to all the hard work put in to getting it. I thought the chocobo system was the best in FF7, followed closely by FF4 with the fat chocobos
All in all, I am extremely pumped for this. And like Wafik said, get over complaining about everything, ToAU has not really let us down yet, give them some credit.

If they let us breed Fat Chocobos as a new storage option, I'll be the first to feed my chocobo the worst of Vana'diel's junk food.

When I ride him, he'll shake the ground like rams do and move with gravity speed, but damn it, he'll be worst fed 80/80 chocobo on the server.

I do not want to camp Kings or be in a LS that does. I am in neither, yet I'm not bored. I could that "I'm playing the game correctly", and you can say that is a cocky and douche statement, but the difference comes that I'm actually happy with the game and you are not.

Neither Wafik or me are suddenly huge fans of SE who will eat their shit. We, and I'm sure many others, look at what they release, enjoy or be disappointed by some of it. But, the key is, we don't hate SE(or better said, the game) over it. To put this in other terms. Wafik/myself/smart people are people who think about the content and try to place it in an area of what kind of entertainment(or lack of) it will bring. You on the other hand, are a huge cry baby who loves to cry just for the sake of being heard. Instead of doing something you like, you look for things to complain about. You can never be happy, and we pay for that.

A point I'd to bring up is that, since when did items matter? This game is no different than other games outside the fact we pay for its servers and bi-monthly updates. You do this to waste time. You have to call something pointless for it to be pointless. Instead of thinking in a linear manner to how you can 'max out your character'(the focus of FFXI, along with community) to gear and levels. Complete missions and quests... but it doesn't stop there. Having one's fellow at cap level, a very nice mog-house, ect ect. Trying to experience everything possible.

The more this game is like Animal Crossing or something, the better. This is, as long they keep up with other types of content. ToUA has... Assault, Besieged, insanely good exp camps, interested(and big) zones, quests, missions with good characters, ect.
