I sometimes think a lot of you guys would be happier with WoW, the game where there is absolutely nothing to do besides farm for gear 24-7.

I personally love all the little fun stuff FFXI gives you to do other then stare at the same craphole instance just so you can gear up to stare at another craphole instance.

The choco raising in FFVII was excruciating, but when it was all done, it was quite a feeling of accomplishment

People really get their panties in a bunch over fun things that everyone can do. Do I expect raising a chocobo to change the way that end-game is played in FFXI? No. Am I going to raise one anyway? Hell yes.

NPC Fellows were probably the most enjoyable addition to FFXI made during the CoP era. I love to bring Zoldof when I am coffer key hunting, testimony hunting, or even skilling up. Just because something does not grant your character ridills and other e-peen+1 items it does not mean that the activity is not enjoyable and make for a good distraction.

Stop and smell the roses sometimes. There are more things to do in Vana'diel than standing around in Dragon's Aery, Valley of Sorrows, and Behemoth's Dominion.

I never knew that the Bahamut server was so desperate for fire crystals until I found out that linkshells camp Tiamat.
