I tried brd/nin other night in both thickets and Mt. Zhaylom...works ok. The one bonus I liked from it was that I could easily let myself get smacked to near yellow hp for latent, then keep shadows up the rest of the time. I can do a similar thing as /whm just treading water with stoneskins and cure II's - but it was just easier as /nin.

When it comes down to it, /whm or /rdm offer more to the support role. /nin is just a fun novelty occasionally, and definitly helps when pulling fast movers (juriks, demons).

Nono, I think those 3 _ _ _ should be enough to hint at how many letters should are in his name . I will also say he is horrible at english, he's one of the UAE's that never learned how to speak english properly, to the point it makes you cry. I also denied his ass on my dynamis LS, and he wont stop sending me PMs everyday, even to the point where he had to resort to rascism when I called him a shitty bard (he said "maybe it's a NA / AU thing"). Sorry, it's not an NA or AU thing, it's a smart people vs dumb people thing.

I honestly dont mind a brd/nin, so long as they know how to brd/nin. If you're gonna keep getting smacked, gtfo and /whm. If you're not gonna ballad me, gtfo and just give me a WHM or SMN to duo heal with. At least the whm can help with regens and hastes, the smn can help with fenrir.

I can count the number of times I've gotten refresh from every RDM I've been in a party with on one hand. I guess RDMs don't like to refresh their BRDs.

Sad but true, I've gotten to realize that the 1mp refresh from sanction is worth my IS.

in a 2x brd 1rdm party lastnight, I was pulling and 2x minuet. The other bard was 2x march and ballad. There were quite a few times I had to go and ballad myself after pulls because the rdm didn't refresh me at all. And lets not get started on the concept of being hasted.

A lot of RDMs get into the habit of not refreshing bards because there are plenty of Bards who do not believe in using MP for anything other than stoneskin. I have no trouble casting Refresh on a BRD as long as they are going to make use of the 150 MP that they get from my 40MP.

I use my mp for healing in the party and casting regen on myself along with stonskin. I like yellow hp for the latent effect on my minstral ring.


Pulling in those parties are lots of fun and pretty damn good xp, we got close to 12k in a little over an hour.

Its not a need to be refreshed but if my mp wont even allow me to cast cure II on people because I'm adding curing into my pulling and songs even when I'm not in a 2 party bard setup it makes it difficult. I died the other night due to this reason, I couldnt cure my self and had no mp to cure myself.

Reasons like that are when yes, a refresh here and there would make life a tad bit easier. Especially when I'm not the one playing ballad even though I am pulling. The IS refresh is worth it to me, the 1 mp a tick does help me alot.

I'd rather play melee because I would go insane playing as brd in merit parties. Then again when you really look at it, every job is pretty monotonous in a way. Then again again merits are merits no matter what job you get them on.
