WHM was my first job. I leveled to 39 in a lv12 linen robe.

I levelled WHM to 75 and my gear was fuckin' awesome. I had a vermillion cloak (bought for 1.5m) at around level 65 too.

and lilith rod was the thing with the melee aspir(24 mp back from crabs!)+getting mp back, i look back and slap myself 100fold.

I remember when nq staves were mega expensive and I was spamming low gil at dark staff and got it for 10k and nearly cried I was so happy =(

HQ staffs were just under or over 1m. If anyone had a HQ staff they were like god. Hell, anyone that had a full set of NQ staffs where looked upon as leet.

Bard - I hate loathe and despise the job now, it gets dragged out reluctantly when needed for dynamis, or when I want to run somewhere faster than normal speed. I muled off half my instruments months ago and run on the bare minimum for the songs I ACTUALLY cast. Next thing is the bits of shair I have are getting sold off to fund my RDM/BLM/SMN gear and when it finally delevels it's not getting re-exped back up to 75.

Liked the job in exp most of the way up (except I was never a confident puller so tend to avoid exping it nowadays), but then realized that HNM bard was about as much fun as sticking red hot needles in your eyes. LS wants me BLM or "get your SMN to 70 quick" most of the time these days, and RDM is still my <3 as well.

I got a pretty good gimp story from this past weekend:
I turn on my lfp flag on Nin (level 59) and get invited right away to go to Valley of Sorrows. I think to myself, ok, I will take this risk since I enjoyed this place last time(probably the wrong move right there).
Anyway, I am running through Kuftal with the blm and notice he is not wearing any staves and also is wearing those while blinded eva+15 earrings and an NQ Rose Wand.
Porem >> Do you have staves?
Gimpblm >> No
Porem >> ...
Gimpblm >> I use wands for int.
Porem >> ...
Why I did not leave right there is beyond me.
Anyway we get to camp and we finally start to pull. The Sam vokes first for the thf, blah blah blah fight going normal. Then I notice that the rng is melee'ing and shooting once every blue moon. Then the thf TA's onto the Sam and the rest of the fight is fucked. Needless to say I blew up immediately after that fight and made a party in thickets.
I cannot believe people like this are still out there...
