    Unrelated, but semi-ontopic in the context of the original post.

    Will your parser read counters correctly and offer raw counts as well as counter %? If so, may I touch you where your swimsuit covers?

    I might be mistaken, but I think the AC in the cutscenes for Besieged always shows the lower left dot lit up, while here it's the middle one... Or do they randomly light up? Just an odd little thing I noticed.

    Judging from the maps that aren't available in-game yet, but can be seen on the FFXI Atlas site, this expansion looks to be pretty small...

    I never noticed that, but you're probably right. Maybe it's just related to who get it? (mamool, lamia, al zhabi..etc)

    It's okay. Zilart has proven you can keep busy 200 players with a 100 feet wide room for 2 years and half. Imagine the possibility with 3 or 4 rooms like this.

    .dat listed a "remnant" zone for every area. Depending what is remnent, it can add a lot to the game. There is also a bunch of island with nothing, 2-3 BC, and many assault map.

    I thought this at first, like perhaps the lights on/off meant a certain general had been defeated. But pretty sure the last two or three Besieges that same circle was lit up during the cutscene, and no general had died during, at the very least, the Trolls.

    There's also 5 patterns on the door to the Hall of Binding, which may be related to the 5 serpent generals and their keys.

    If you're talking about the five purple patterns that pop on the door during the intro animation, that's definitely linked to the Generals - I've seen Besieged start up after we lost a general, and only four seals popped up.

    Shouldn't be any problem with this. Counterattacks give a very unambiguous message in the chat log. Counterattack rate is then calculated as:

    v = Number of times Counterattack message was encountered
    w = Number of times Parry message was encountered
    x = Number of times Evasion message was encountered
    y = Number of times zero or nonzero melee damage was received
    z = Number of times shadows absorbed damage


    v / (v + w + x + y + z)

    This sound right? if so, should be easy.

    Good question - Been sidetracked recently, and actually been out of state on business for this entire week. Hopefully when I get back can continue.

    Yea, whenever I get back from my business trip I'll post a list of all DAT areas/locations.

    I never noticed that, but you're probably right. Maybe it's just related to who get it? (mamool, lamia, al zhabi..etc)

    Is it possible that more map .dats can be released through updates or that some haven't been mined up yet? I don't really know much about the data and updating system.

    "Traditionally" SE doesn't release zone .DATs in updates. They release all the zones with the expansion disc (you were able to view new Dynamis, and Lower Promyvion and Ou'Hpat Obelisk before they became Temenos and Apollyon using a model viewer).

    Although SE has been switching things up lately with this game, and I think its because a lot of the info we get from the game is no longer "discovered" as it was intended, but datamined.

    This is what I mean by SE switching things up with the game. It becomes 100x harder to do something when you have almost nothing to go on.

    Look at Strange Apparatus for example. Those things were out for a year before people ever figured out how to get Doctor status from them. We knew that "Doctor" status existed for a long, long time, with no clue as to how and get it, until an Easter event happened concerning the first three letters of a player's name, which gave people ideas.
