Yes, I bought a shit load of gil. By my estimates, me and 4 other guys bought around 100-125,000 $ worth of gil in about 4 years. I'm not rich, just well off. Of my own spending, i think i spent around 10,000 over 4 years of playing ffxi. Close friend of mine however spent some crazy amount, im talking 5,000-7,500 every month on gil.

I don't care how well off you are, thats just sad. I'd rather buy a yacht or a porsche or something. Hell, pay that money to fly all your ffxi friends to hawaii for a week. I dont think I'd even know what to do with the amount of gil that must fetch.
