One of the funnier parts is me trying to write with proper grammar and spelling. I did work (page layout) and write for a newspaper, but that is what the copy editors got their stipends for, not me!Originally Posted by Ayaz

i dont even care about grammar as much as i do spelling. just never understood how some grown people can mis-spell words that 10 year olds can spell. you would think people would proofread their own stuff so they dont look like idiots. i know i would want to.
I was in class a few weeks ago and this girl said a triple, maybe even a quad-negative sentence. I really wanted to slap her in the gunt (Pop quiz, what is a "gunt?") but she failed out of class.Originally Posted by Ayaz
lol i have no idea what a gunt is. ill have to look it up i guess.
Its when a woman's gut is large and spreads down into the cunt region. Hence the term gunt.Originally Posted by Ayaz
I think it was coined on KQ92 morning show in Minnesota.
oh thats like a FUPA. Fat Upper Pussy Area. i see what you mean.
the bolded part needs either a semi-colon seperating it, or a comma.Originally Posted by Demetrick

Pretty damn generous is 25% plus you cheap fuck. 20% is the usual.Originally Posted by Norelco

You're a waiter, not a fucking test pilot. You gotta be the best waiter in the world at a restaurant that serves amazing food to get that kind of compensation, not some greasy shit working the graveyard at Denny's.
While we're on the topic:
Restaurants that automagically add 'service charges' whenever you bring 6 people to a restaurant.
"HAY here's a regular customer who not only gives us good business but is bringing his friends to our establishment. Let's extort him for 15% of the tab automatically regardless of service without offering any special deals."
Fuck restaurants, period I think.
You also have to understand that waiters/waitresses get paid 2.00 an hour and tips ARE their paychecks. How would you like it if I docked your pay just because I was feeling cheap that day?
Edit: If you count Denny's as a restaurant, you sir are a lowlife.
They should get a job where they don't rely on the generosity of their customers, or they should realize that is their lifeblood and try harder.
It's easy to serve $50-100 of food per hour at any relatively busy restaurant and you say they deserve 20%, that's like $10-20 / hr on top of the money they are guaranteed. For. Serving. Food. Fuck off!
I would understand a pay dock if I were underperforming or turned out incompetent. What I don't understand is the idea that I should pay increasing amounts of money for the exact same job these waiters/waitresses were doing 5 years ago.Originally Posted by Anyway
The 'customary tip' inflation to 20% is pure robbery. I don't pay extra for someone performing the bare essence of what would define their job title. Gee, thanks for taking my order and bringing me my food! Here's a bonus!
This is the reality of a shitty job like waiting tables. It's not the Special Olympics. You don't gett a medal for meeting requirements.
Ummm.. go to McDonald's then. Don't knock shit til you try it either. I used to be a waiter is why I'm opinionated on the matter and it's one of the most tiring jobs I've ever done. It was also a "dining" restaurant not the apparently trash places you go to (Denny's).
You look at just yourself. You may think it's easy to serve 1 table, but when you have 7 tables of 4+ people and you have assholes like yourself who think their shit don't stink, it's tough. Try it.
Cockblockers.
