One of the funnier parts is me trying to write with proper grammar and spelling. I did work (page layout) and write for a newspaper, but that is what the copy editors got their stipends for, not me!

I was in class a few weeks ago and this girl said a triple, maybe even a quad-negative sentence. I really wanted to slap her in the gunt (Pop quiz, what is a "gunt?") but she failed out of class.

I hate waiters who think they don't have to write down food orders because they have SUCH good memories, and then they wonder why you're pissed when you forget 2 to 3 things. Or how about waiters with shitty attitudes? Since they're having a bad day, I guess everyone they are serving is supposed to have one too now.

That being said...

Tax here is about 8-9% so I just double the tax...and usually I round it up. That's pretty damn generous.

HOWEVER...if you are a shitty waiter or are giving me an attitude, I'll most likely leave a dollar or two at most to show them they were a fucking retard.

They should get a job where they don't rely on the generosity of their customers, or they should realize that is their lifeblood and try harder.

It's easy to serve $50-100 of food per hour at any relatively busy restaurant and you say they deserve 20%, that's like $10-20 / hr on top of the money they are guaranteed. For. Serving. Food. Fuck off!

I would understand a pay dock if I were underperforming or turned out incompetent. What I don't understand is the idea that I should pay increasing amounts of money for the exact same job these waiters/waitresses were doing 5 years ago.

The 'customary tip' inflation to 20% is pure robbery. I don't pay extra for someone performing the bare essence of what would define their job title. Gee, thanks for taking my order and bringing me my food! Here's a bonus!
