It'll be sunshine and the outdoors for me. And tons of other video games that aren't so demanding on time.

A lot of anime can be the basis of a good MMO. Personally, I think an Outlaw Star setting would make a pretty cool MMO.
I don't see myself playing another MMO after FFXI unless all or most of the people I play with now all decided to play another one together.
Enjoyment in MMOs is mostly comprised by the people you play with.
http://www.eve-online.com may be the game for you. The graphics are very impressive by any standard. You are able to start wars with other Corporations(LS) for territory/money, mine, outerspace combat, etc. Also doesn't require you to be online to skill up/make money.Originally Posted by Daahan
Any of the Movies from EVE will be sure to impress. But I think this will be as close/good as it gets.
Forgive the bump. Been gone awhile.
Isn't EVE a korean grind MMO? After playing RO I don't think I can stand a harsh grind after FFXI was so easy in comparision...
I can't remember where I've heardof EVE from. I know I HAVE heard of it though, but it's odd...can't remember where from. Looks pretty cool though. So did Knight Online or whatever, and that was GAY. So was the RO servr I played on, though.
It's not a grind of any kind from what I'm aware of. You don't have to mine if you don't want to. You can be a mercenary and contract kill people for a living if you wish to. If mining and crafting is your thing, you can advance that way and never fight a day in your life. If you're a political/business man, you can join a Corporation(or become a CEO) to help run or aid in their wars. It's really up to you what you chose to do.Originally Posted by Elcura
As far is it being Korean, it was made and started in Iceland from what I know.
Whoa that makes it sound really cool actually.Originally Posted by Harbringer
What makes EVE a really good space MMO is that you can be and do anything within the game's limits.
You can grief other players as much as you wish (be a pirate, and camp warpgates, hold them up for their cargo, etc). or you can be the peaceful person and mine for life (just hope you don't get ganked yourself). I've never played EVE, but I know a couple of friends who used to rant on and on about it. The real eye opener for me was that Istvaan Shogaatsu guy - he and his clan/group are a bunch of mercs specializing in infiltration and sabotage. His most infamous feat was destroying one major corporation (the damages amounted to billions of ISK, the in-game currency). Their group raided the corp's cargo holds, killed the CEO (who had like lots of +4 implants on his head, which is like.. uh...very rare and expensive), stole their mega ship (at which there are only 2 in existance at the time) and generally caused lots of havoc. The devs did nothing, it was perfectly game-legal.
I think I remember hearing about that. There was an article posted about that it seemed really crazy.Originally Posted by Selk
Having played EVE for a few months on and off, I can say that it is a fantastic "While you do something else" MMO. It's also difficult to really get into the more interesting parts of the game unless you make an effort to get involved, since you're really just thrown out into the wide open galaxy with no clear indication of what you're supposed to do next. (Completely unlike standard fantasy MMO fare.)
If you think you might enjoy this sort of thing, or even if you're not sure, I highly recommend trying the game out. You can get a free 14-day trial key right here, download the client, and start playing. Read the forums and the official website while you wait, because there's a lot to learn.
It's not for everyone (I cancelled my account after a couple months, mainly because I was plenty busy with WoW and FFXI -- if I ever get bored, I'd go back), but it's worth trying out.
How about a Boy Meet's World MMORPG? I think it would be a good idea in general, great storyline and etc. Anyone have any idea's they would like to share on this topic?
I do, you're a fag.Originally Posted by George Feeny
