I was in a besieged party with someone on bahamut with maats cap the other day. I forget the name though...something with an M. She/he was speaking in English...but could have been JP I guess.

As far as maat's cap quest goes. You have to beat all 15 pre-toa jobs on maat. I'm 100% sure of this.

Whatever that means. Maat's Cap is simply beat all pre-toa jobs on maat. So you only need to be 66 on all jobs to get it.

Did you measure how close you are based on your job levels, or how much exp is required to get your jobs up to 66? cuz having jobs at 50 doesn't really mean anything

If/when I complete the quest for Maat's Cap, I'll make sure my merits are ALL done for my top 6 jobs I care about, and/or 95% maxxed out on gear, which I am rather to close to being done anyway (since I can be any of them at any moments notice w/o muling), that way I can just level the rest of whats out there with bare minimum of whats needed, and at same time not hindering my ability to get on (pick 1 of the 6) jobs for LS stuff, solo/personal, or w/e reason. The remaining jobs are maat cap fodder and dont need pimping per se :D

P.S. I know many peeps with 5+ 75's but like half of the 1's leveled to 75 mean shit to them, aren't geared, or take hrs of muling to get rdy. (lol at sheep rng and those who quit after nerf)

So getting a job from 1-75 (w/ capped exp) is the same as a little under 85 merits.

You dont need ANY jobs at 75, just 66, the minimum level required to fight Maat. I believe you have to win with every job though, which is really hard with some of those, though maybe not nowadays with new meds/food/gear.

Wow, that means the easiest fight would be BLM/DRG. One of the 2h would be Call Wyvern, and seeing how other BCNM/Dynamis "Call wyvern" is still the DRG's 2h, he'll do the same. The pet would be useless with sleepga, while you manazerg him.

Or maybe even BLM/RNG, seeing how alot of ranger mobs dont like coming close to you, they like to keep their distance for a few hits. Bring a stoneskin torque and blink band.

Are you all truly certain its just pre-ToAU jobs?

When Fenrir came out, the Evoker's Ring quest was expanded to include an item from Fenrir, too. So those who got their Evoker's Ring after Fenrir came out had to do one more fight than the ones who got it before Fenrir.

It could be possible that you need all 18 jobs past Maat now to get the cap, which would mean you can't get Maat's Cap anymore until they patch in a Maat fight for the new jobs.

Has anyone tried getting Maat's Cap since ToAU came out, having 15 of the 18 jobs past Maat, and not be able to get the cap?
