I know its difficult, but read through the thread, it was explained already that you need the ZM jobs as well and beat Maat with them (66 min).Originally Posted by Suci

My question is more along the lines has anybody tried unregistering ZM expansion and then tried it. Meaning you dont have the options for the ZM jobs. Of course with ZM registered its going to say that you need all the jobs pre ToAU. I doubt anybody has tried it without having ZM registered. That and i dont even know if you can unregister a expansion on a account after you registered it.
Now if SE said you needed ZM registered to obtain this then nvrmd.
The game code noticing you beating Maat with all 15 jobs makes unregistering Zilart irrelvant, the game checks to see 'was maat beat with all 15? here's a cap, if not, no cap.'
Ya nvrmd i had a blonde moment. I think without ZM you could only lvl to 50 anyway.
you can't unregister an expansion from an account.
dont think any NA has maat cap on my server :/
I pitty people with Maat's Cap ... seriously.
Not only it's a big trophee to say "HEY EVERYONE LOOK HOW I SUCK AT LIFE!!" But heh ... once you get it, assuming you beat it with all jobs to 66, what are you gonna do ? Level those job to 75 ... camp kings, merit ... for what ? To make your character more powerful, for what ? To eum ... kill kings faster and get merits faster ... for what ? To pimp your character ... heh anyways.

I actually praise them. Because instead of wasting time /stare darters, they did something more useful. In that same time you got your merits or whatever, they were finishing their goal. It doesnt even take much time to take a job to 75, about 4-6 weeks if you're a lesser demand job, 2-4 if you're a more in demand. The last part of my thf's exp'ing was under 2 weeks of xp'ing from 54-75.Originally Posted by jasmyne

Everything I do to pimp my bard out is actually to be more powerful in my lower jobs ... because this is what I like to do, and seriously, then if you ask me why I am leveling them, I will say duh ... I don't know, once I am gonna hit 75 on it, I will just pimp it out too and pimp my other lower jobs ... my point is that once you got them all at 75 ... I don't see what's the point. Yes, you can have goals (get this or that piece, kill this or that) but why ? To make one of you 75's more powerful, to kill easyer, to have better gear, to kill easyer ... see my point ?
There's a friend of mine who has his main at 75 for almost 2 years now, and it's his only job 50+. He is a BEAST. He probably has more merit points than exp I have on my Bard Whm and Blm all together. He has the best gear he can ever have. But he still continues to get merit parties, why ? I don't know, seriously. Of course, he gets incredible exp/hour since only hiself os probably as powerful as 2 decent people, but he just continues to ... merit, camp, be pimped, to merit, to camp ...
Why don't you quit FFXI then. It will make everything better.Originally Posted by jasmyne
TBH, I think its easier to exp then to camp kings and goto dynamis each week. You can exp any time you want to. Log-in, make a party, when your tired... stop. The only real setback is if the right jobs aren't on. Even then its less effort then trying to keep tabs on faffy each day. Everyone plays the game for diffrent reasons. Assholes that have spent most of the playtime in a confined space surrounded by insects and virgins don't need to lecture others in how to effectively use their free time.
Maybe the point is that they want to level more jobs and experience more of what the game has to offer?
There is really no difference to sitting in a pit for 3 hours everyday, to meritting a job for 3 hours, or spending 3 hours a day xping a new job.
Heh, the same could be said for anybody playing this game for longer than a year. Whether you're lvling new jobs, camping HNM, farming sky, crafting... it's still the same shit you've done 100x over already. The people who play passionately still are the ones with goals... the one's without goals are the ones who play solely for the social aspect and/or quit the game altogether for a different one.Originally Posted by jasmyne
Sure, leveling every job in the game to 66 for an e-peen item is a stupid goal, but no less stupid than camping HNM everyday or doing dynamis religiously or spending hundreds of millions of gil for e-peen gear.
And seriously, getting Maat's Cap isn't as time consuming as people make it out to be. A month of casual lvling or 2 weeks of hardcore lvling will get a job to 66 with a static.
Congratulations, you are able to edit a quote (EDIT: to Kareface.)
Ermm that's my point.Maybe the point is that they want to level more jobs and experience more of what the game has to offer?
Duh thanks, I know we don't play for the same reasons. And I am not trying to lecture anyone either. I am just saying my opinion, and even if you don't care, that's not my problem ...Everyone plays the game for diffrent reasons. Assholes that have spent most of the playtime in a confined space surrounded by insects and virgins don't need to lecture others in how to effectively use their free time.
what about owning a Maat's Cap makes that statement not true?Originally Posted by jasmyne

Heh I know all that ... but I just think you don't understand my point.
Look, whatever you do on your level 75 job, it is probably to pimp it out, right ?
The reason you are pimping it out, is to be more powerful, soo, in another way, making it easyer for you, or your linkshell, or your parties, or whoever you go with, to attain a goal, which will be to kill something, right ?
When you kill something, it's either to get an item, or to get exp.
With that item, or that exp, you will continue to pimp out your lvl 75. And here we go to restart everything, and become more and more powerful, but just to become even more powerful.
I know everyone has different goals, some people, like me, will just quit the game once they will have leveled up all the jobs they wanted to, because the major part of my "fun" part is to level.
To some others, it's to pimp out their main, to camp kings, etc. Those people might not quit until they get every single thing they need to be as powerful as they can, but it will barely not happen before the game dies.
Some other stay for some other goals ... but I am realizing that I don't know why I am arguing about this, there is never a point to play any videogame, unfortunately.
That just seems like a bandwagon post. Most threads about the maats cap have had someone who has to point out how much he pittys anyone with a cap. Your last post is like a train wreck. You pitty people because they have too many jobs to pimp out? Becuase they have beaten the game?I pitty people with Maat's Cap ... seriously.
Nothing you have said really connects well with me. Maybe its just me... Please clarify, why exactly do people with maats caps deserve your pitty?
I think people make a big deal over nothing really. Sorry i'm getting so defensive about this, but I'm not a huge fan of bandwagon posts.
I want Maat's Cap ... seriously
