8k/hr Pt (not icluding exp ring and cor roll) rdm cor brd sam blu nin at lvl 60 2 days ago, was fkin amazing(Puk's in Wajaom). I have practically best equips 1 can wear my level for DD/acc and I can tell you BLU can hold its own very well in the DD spot (war, mnk, etc) getting TP to SC with SAM every fight, spam spells occasionally inbetween TPing, its incredibly fun, + helping our RDM every now and then with Magic Fruit and equipping auto-refresh combo + Sanction refresh was just awesome, I also only had refresh for forms of MP refresh, I took all of the DD rolls/songs the melees had + never had to rest, I don't underestimate BLU 1bit in terms of sole DDing (sword merits help too 8) )

Wait BLU is good at DDing? That is such new information, and extremely relevant to the thread! Guys, we should give him some sort of award for astuteness.

anyway, fact of the matter is, PUP is unfinished, should probably wait till it's "complete" (I use the term loosely) before you decide how the job should be made to be more desirable (most jobs could be more desirable).

I'm just tired of it, it's off-topic, it's 100% jackassery, and it's pissin me off damnit.

all my dragoonish drama aside, I really have no problem with pup, I think it's funny that there're 2x as many dragoons than pups on leviathan, and pup isn't exactly my thing (seems a little too much like dress-up imo) but I don't despise all that play it

So far, MB is completely luck. Mage puppet only casts highest lv. elemental magic it has or as high lv as its current mp allows. It learned Blizzard II at lv.60~61 and should be learning Thunder II any day now, just gotta' go skillup it's magic skill... watching the 71 PUP in besieged, it doesn't look like it learns tier III nukes at all or else his woulda' been casting Stone III by then instead of Thunder II... :/

I have gotten MBs, but I am going to say it was entirely luck considering my puppet only spams the same nuke over and over, while all my pts tend to be just melee burns where the SCs are pretty random... but makes me wonder if the scanner attachment might restrict elemental magic casting to only trying to MB or something? I'm not quite sure because I leave that stupid attatchment off while I exp.

Also, puppets do not interact with any pt members at all, which is very unfortunate because the Curing power of the mage puppet would be pretty impressive if it were allowed to spam Cure IV on any pt members at 70% or lower like it does to me.

Question, from the way you worded it you made it seem like the PUP will spam the spell it last learned right? So what if you learn a move of the mob element you're fighting? Are you just kind of screwed and will it just spam and get resisted?

Yeah, lol... it was a lot of fun exping on crabs when it learned Water II :D!

Which is basically the reason I wish they'd fix the scanner attatchment so it would possibly go back to casting Thunder or anything besides Water II...

True, but 2 things, it will have learned Fire/Blizzard II before you exp on any puks, and also, ranger puppet is better for those

Most times if you can'tuse the mage AtM the ranger one will be better (likes for flies and water 2 lol)

Exping PUP definitely isn't gonna' get you the chicks. However, it's the funnest job I've played in a long while, and I think most people who play around with it enjoy it... but the flames and 'jackassery' are purely from trying to apply it to fighting wyrms, making huge WS numbers, or whatever else you apparently need to be able to do to not be "worthless." *shrug* I deal with the same bullshit from my LS friends every day >_> but I know for myself that I'm outdamaging other melees in my party when I got a puppet next to me spamming Thunder II for 200 dmg every 5 seconds.

did i say drg sucks? did i say pup sucks? no i said theyre in the same boat. youre the one who assumed they sucks. i still dont unerstand why drg players go all cry baby when someone says something about their job. you dont hear me crying because someone tells me my HP sucks on nin as taru, nor do i wail because someone says my rng is shitty now.

The Puppetmaster could then proceed to shove the puppet into the mob's ass, causing massive DoT from the anal hemorrhaging, I'm talking like 75-100 hp/tick :OOOOOO. Had a party from my LS XPing in Mount<tab> and they pulled two puppetmasters. The two puppets chained Slapstick on one of them and killed them, lol. Mob Slapstick is nasty, but 2x + chain is killer, lol.
