Best to farm for each Staging Point (Assault)

I haven't done Ryaaf yet, but I have a question: do you have to kill the fleas in each room to get the NPC to pop up? or could you theoretically just flee around and run in every room, and have somebody hit the rune when it pops up? Are the fleas the standard 1k or so hp 1-hit-wonders that we're used to, only w/ curse effect?

I'd be interested in how to do this one consistently. We get about a 50% win rate. Seems like fire spits don't start happening or hitting frequently until the last 15 minutes. Simply 'dodging' fire spit by moving during the animation doesn't seem to yield any consistent results.

I've never lost here... We just start with a BST mob (which throws its axe), and it knocks the door down 100% unless the WS misses the door (rare). The NPC has been in the first pot hatch thing we checked every one of the 6 or so times we've won.

Dig up the map/guide I made (I think its on the ffxiclopedia wiki). It explains where all the mobs with weapons are, and that you should just kill the nin mobs (or any mob w/o a weapon).

Anyone have a good way to farm Periqua? I need to save for Gomlek, and looks damn near impossible.

Could you do the escort with 3 people? Have someone train everything --> sleepga and log out. There is some undead, but you can probably skip a good chunk of monsters

Flee have like 5000hp, maybe more or less, but it's not 1000 for sure. You can still kill them with critical hit and ws tho.

I don't think you need to finish the flee in the room to activate the npc. I know I popped the monsters before we were done with the flee once, meaning you can probably save the npc while they are sleeping.

It's not 100% as far as I know. What would happens is probably something along the line of:

The samurai uses Circle blade
The cursed chigoe takes 129 points of damages
The cursed chigoe takes 133 points of damages
The cursed chigoe takes 175 points of damages
The cursed chigoe hit the Samurai for 80 points of damages
The cursed chigoe hit the Samurai for 80 points of damages
The cursed chigoe hit the Samurai for 80 points of damages
The cursed chigoe hit the Samurai for 80 points of damages

I've lost a good portion of the time doing this one. I've had 3 weapon wielding mobs in a row miss the door in one attempt -_- and another attempt yielded mobs that simply didn't want to throw their weapon, or wanted to throw the weapon at me, and not the gate...

It's a tough gamble to do that one. Pre-emptive Strike isn't much better, because it only yields 2000 points.

I've had weapon Weilding mobs miss both the tank and the door, I've also had only 2 weapon weilding mobs spawn.

Lamia #13 is easy if you have 2 dispellers, I go RDM RDM X (where X = Ranged attacker such as BLM or RNG or summoner), can swap a rdm for a blm/rdm. Just keep gravity on the lamia so she doesnt get too close, she's also sleepable, but that means nothing when the Fallens cast bio3 on her.
Im sure other trio setups work, but I havent found a good one ><

Golden Savage is extremely easy with .dat swap if you dont have the setup for lamia #13. 1 person who's a rdm/--- can go around and check the mimics and sleep the fishies till you find your dat modded chest

Chigoes don't all aggro on the way to the NPCs, unless you get unlucky. We just killed them all normally but for one set I saved my tp and used spinning fist and all 3 dropped. Given that was the only time we did that one and only one person (me) used an AOE ws once, I can't say for sure whether or not it's a 100% thing but pretty much any time anyone used a ws, they died.

For private ryaaf, I come as sam, and friend comes as pld. Sheild Bash one shots chigoes as well, and meditate will instantly kill the other 2. If timers are funky or a ws misses, I have the soboro equipped, which makes short work of them.

This is just horrible to farm. I tried Ochi Survery with 3 and lost. My group sucked however. Do you have to be lucky to actually win with three? Has anyone farmed Cleansing with three? what as the set up?

Jobs that can solo the worms work best, but yeah its a luck based Assault.

why not bring a blu to lamia 13, was told by another blu when he used a darkstaff (geist wall is aoe dispel) hit all 3 of them and worked everytime.

rdm/blm can solo saving private ryaaf easily.
sleepga chigaoes, talk to npc and run to next room. fomors and chigaoes lose aggro if you are far enough away before they wake up.
i wish SE would let me enter solo ;_;
