I disagree. Just because it takes them longer to make a transaction doesn't mean they are making any less money each day... Their income is still limited by the number of orders received, and to think they are making any less money is to agree that they are being forced to turn away business. I seriously doubt this is the case.

The difference between pre delivery nerf and post delivery nerf is just a big increase in pain-in-the ass factor for the gilsellers. They are still receiving the same amount of orders per day, they just have to put in a lot more effort to deliver them.

I would submit the idea that they get a lot less orders per day, both because of prices, and because of having to actualy meet somebody face-to-face. You may think it's not that inconvenient, and most probably don't, but I'll bet you theres at least a few people, a small percentage perhaps, that say "meet in-game? fuck I don't wanna get caught rmting". Prices are going up not only because the banks keep getting banned, but because the number of people that are buying gil seems to actually be dropping, and they have to charge more.

I do think it's funny to think that IGE was buying gil for $10/mil on my server, and that if they got a bank banned, they actually just got how many thousands of dollars flushed down the toilet. IYF bitches.

Now if they'd only get rid of the obvious botting rmts in sky and other places, I'd be really happy.

OK, I can agree with that. Though I bet the number of buyers discouraged by it would be very small, and would not include the notoriuos big money gil buyers. In my last LS a few months back, we happened to be the only NA LS farming Ouryu at the time, and there was a gil buying DRK on our server who was paying 23 mil EACH for the ores. I am willing to bet he is as big a customer as he ever was

They take RMT counter-measures, they ban accounts. So why is it there are 3 times more gilfarmers at this moment than there were a year ago? I dont think they are too worried about SE banning them.
    This is what they say

Whatever they did wrong or right, I am glad something is done, at least.

Why have people dropped the theory that IGE = SE?

I've always thought that was the case up until now, I'm not so sure. Banning a shitload of accounts twice kinda convinces me they are not.

Again, be interesting to see the next "vana'diel census" to see how many people quit because they can't RMT

I think that's not the case, but I think there is negligeance from SE to not take measures against IGE.

Like a lot of people said, they could buy some gil, and then track down and ban.

BUT (of course there's a but) if I was them I was not sure if I would do it. In a way, they will keep more players in the long run by doing this, but in another one, we don't know how many GS accounts there are, and how many characters per account.

I would not be surprised to see a high number, like 1/10 of characters are from GS. That means it's a LOT of money for them ... I wonder though, because if they would ban them, there is like 99% of chances that the banned account will be replaced for another one, which means a new copy of the game bought, which means more money for them ... w/e

i think the only reason they implimented the gil limit on delivery system is because its prolly easier to track gil movement via the persons trade transactions.

like instead of a giant delivery system log to sift thru (its a seperate server i thought), they pull up the individuals logs, and look at his trade history. theyve proven they can track easily and fast someones trade history when they get "scammed" outta a haub or something.

they were just playing a game of chess with us, i mean i dont think theyre so stupid as to not realize we can just trade the gil now

Most interesting perspective on the Delivery Box nerf... If you came up with that one on your own you deserve a scooby snack. No sarcasm intended btw, that is a really smart way of looking at it.

If IGE = SE, SE must be raking in the money from selling currency for all those other MMORPGs, too.

I'm sure people in each of those games think IGE = (their developer), but unless all MMORPGs are secretly owned by the same company, IGE can only be one of them, if its one of them at all.
