when there's (rare) items that have chances with eachother, like BCNM torques(got fixed), or defending ring/Pixie earring(not sure if this got fixed), if everyone in the party has the item you dont want (so if everyone in the ally has a pixie earring), it forces the other item to drop.

Yeah someone tried it after some patch (no clue on when) and niether a pixie(couldnt have lol) nor d ring dropped.

Oh ok, because when somebody says something it's automatically 100% true and confirmed, by bad lol. I was looking for a documented occassion where somebody tried the trick and it didn't work? Or maybe an official SE thread discussing it?

This trick was also used to force BCNM's to drop more expensive items, but it was nerfed by January 2004.

A single JP LS on Fenrir has 12 Defending Rings, and not thanks to the trick that was nerfed before it would be applicable to any of us. All of their KBs drop nothing or defending, as everyone has a Pixie, well over 40. Only 2 NAs have a ring, and, about that many other JPs outside of said LS.

Well actually JPs dont really camp kings much at all on Lakshmi.. dring just wont drop. The JP that have them all got it from one JP linkshell that was just ahead of the game back in the day. Like I said, Dring just seems to drop once a year on Lakshmi. Our linkshell is 1/21 on DRing(And the DRing we got is gone.)

I've guessed our droprate to be between 2-3 a year. Most of the JPs who got rings have long sense quit. The only JP that currently has one on our server has most of his koenig and shadow ring/mantle. Unfortunately he never camps anything worth tanking and only really logs in on the weekends.

the NA Dring on lakshmi went to the then leader of the LS. He then had a breakdown and was kicked out. and then he tried to make an LS for vengeance on his old one and then that failed and then he quit.
