I too am counting on Zanshin effect. I figure with merited zanshin, this body and the zanshin cape... could do wonders for a Acc marco setup, as a SAM with an A+ weapon, have +ACC gear should not even be of concern so why not focus on Zanshin
Because with fully merited store TP and Meditate you can get a 2:30 med timer with a 6 hit 100% TP rate?

    3. hit
    4. critical hit instead of a regular hit
    5. double attack

or what if you started off with a double attack and the second hit missed but zanshin kicked in and still make it a double attack inside of a single attack. yes-zanshin kicks in when you miss. it's like putting your car insurance to use when you get into an accident. it sucks when you miss but at least you got some limited melee insurance. 'you're in good hands with zanshin.' if you have an accuracy problem, don't blame it on zanshin. check out why you missed in the first place: your gear setup, merits, food, weapon rating, mob's evasion, etc.

half-truth. you need at least +21 store tp (+10 store tp from merits and you have to use +11 store tp gear/food) to reach 100% tp in 6 hits instead of 7 hits. so if you don't have a total of +21 store tp while building tp, you're wasting your time with store tp merits or wasting your time meleeing with store tp gear when you could be using better gear that's available. if you miss once, so much for the 6-hit 100% tp rate right? but if zanshin kicked in during that miss and landed that hit... anyway, store tp works on your hits, zanshin works on your misses. i'm not saying there's only 1 way to merit your sam or 1 style of playing. just explaining why zanshin isn't as bad as people think it is and why i'd pick zanshin over store tp.

11 store TP ?? Shouldnt be hard...

    Brutal Earring: 1 (1)
    Rajas Ring: 5 (6)
    Hachiman Sune-Ate: 5 (11)

That wasnt so difficult, was it ?

Now, I'm curious, since were on this subject:
equipping Rajas Ring (5), Shinimusha Hara-Ate (9), Shinimusha Haidate (6), Bushido Cape (1), Chivalrous Chain (1), Attila's Earring (1), Brutal Earring (1), Hachiman Kote (8), Hachiman Sune-Ate (5) and eating Carbonara (6) we get Store TP+43...though you could bump it up with a GKT with Store TP+2 or lolFutsuno Mitamalol with its StoreTP+8. How much TP would that give per swing, Store TP+43 ??

what about the sam-is-2nd-job that got tamas ring for his mage-is-main job? also, no sea access= no limbus. farming abcs is pretty easy but it still took a while. just because you and i have sea access and beaten the cop missions, it doesn't mean everyone else has access or beaten them too.

i would imagine that a super store tp setup like that would be cool each time you don't miss an attack. but it looks highly impractical unless you got a buttload of time and money to use that gear setup on weak/easy mobs. there's a lot of better stats you're sacrificing for just store tp.

The reason I got pahluwan was for my PUP and upcoming COR, if the crit rate was good I could've replaced togi with it, oh well, still looks hot.

The discussion on zanshin is cool and all, but make a thread for it, I want to see more data on p.k. here (and trollbane too if possible) no matter how worthless it might be it's always good to have more definitive data.

Having said that, since we are on the topic, i always wanted to get the cape with zanshin from assault to play around with it for fun, for me it would be cool to see it kick in on mnk (without having to lvl up sam). But i am waiting until price drops a lot, so i have a question. Can anybody who has it confirm if it gives you zanshin even if you don't already have it? With what % activation?
(I am pretty sure it should, just like all the 'enhance' items but want to make sure from people who actually tried it)

I thought that Supanomimi does not give you Dual Wield if you are not NIN or /NIN. There is actually a precedence.

Ah wow good point. I wish SE would be more consistent. It's also annoying that none of those items with 'enhance' show the trait under 'job traits' even when they do add it... It's slightly inconvenient to test things like brutal earring or loquacious, but on items like merrow17 locket, testing "enhances resist charm" is pretty much impossible.

Anyways even more so, if anybody has tried the bushido cape please post here

Intensifying cape is nice.. my SMN has Blue Cape, which is HP-15 MP+30. Intensifying cape is HP+30 MP+30. Barring an Errant/Mahatma or Summoner's Cape, I'd say its about the best cape for SMN.
Bit of a necrobump on this topic but...

Intensifying Cape is really great, and the Summoner's Cape can basically be considered a +1 vesion of it, but best cape for SMN's back slot may hinge on whatever summoning skill adjustments SE will be making soon. If the changes are significant (which I hope they are, so SMNs who rushed to 75 without skilling up get boned), Astute cape may be the winner.

I'll have to start spending more time in Sea.

The way I see it is like this: Double and Triple attack seem to be encoded in every attack as how many hits. Double and Triple just increase the percentage. This would make Kraken or Ridill easy to program, they just set the chance to attack a certain number as a static percentage instead of 100% 1 attack. Dual Wield is a far more complicated ability that breaks the system and affects your ability to equip stuff instead of merely an equation modification. Zanshin is an equation modification so I can see it being givable through equipment.

But this is all speculation anyways...

Well, that, and Dual Wield affects what you can wear in what slots and would have to remove your sub weapon when you remove the item that gave it to you. Not that it couldn't be done, as your sub weapon is removed when you remove your main weapon, but it seems a little awkward.

Most "Enhances" items don't have to deal with that sort of thing, they just boost some trait that would be easy to tack a number onto without modifying how your character works.

It would be cooler if the max attack round wasn't 8 hits or misses.

Double Attack can't proc on double attacks so I doubt it

Out of curiosity if you /ja jump and TA or DA, can a jailor weapon proc on the JA or TA? or does it count as a WS. Otherwise you have the potential (albeit small) of having a 6 hit /ja jump with Homan and Jailor weapons.

Jump is a one-hit attack (chatlog-wise) that DA/TA/multihit weapons can contribute to (damage-wise). If DA/TA procs don't stack on on a multihit weapon proc, it may be fairly safe to assume that Jump is the same way.

And even if they did stack, DA/TA don't actually double or triple the amount of attacks you make, it just adds 1-2 extra hits on proc. At the most, you'd hit 5 times.

Well, have Ryko post some ss's of his Jump attacks as Drk/Drg, I believe he used KC and got multihits to process and do some very nice dmg on wyrms that way. If KC can proc during Jumps, I would say that Jailer weapons would have the same chance to as well.
