...the only risk is Extremely Bad Breath. My theory, though it's tough to test as we've never seen or wiped because of it.. is that she does this WS after a certain amount of time after aggro, 120s, 180s, something ballparkish around there. Correct me if the people who've been sodomized by this WS saw it way sooner than that, but with us, she's never had time to do it.

Ok, can confirm that there's no waiting period. We just engaged, and 3-5 seconds later Extremely Bad Breath and 23 people died. You might be 4/4 but we're 0/4 now after we won our first real attempt, 1/5 total. To top it off, Undead Swarm took the AC while we were at Fairy Ring making this a bad day on Pandemonium overall lol.

We've had a few ideas for how to modify our plan. Has anyone ever tried just doing flies > CC right at the start with an army of chainspell-stuns? The other idea was to split the group in half after Fairy Ring and do 1/2 to Gobbue and 1/2 to the Dragontraps, to get rid of Nightmare Morbols and lessen the Putrid Breath spam. Any done/tried this before?

In the times you've wiped to EBB, you've killed Fairy Ring and Nan'tina only? I probably give SE too much credit, but there has to be something that leads to EBB, other than it being bugged and just a complete dice roll of a fight. Or.. it's the Spike Flail that good hate control can't avoid..

All of our wins have been: Flies > FR > Goobbue > boss rape in about 50 seconds.

Nothing, Just Permabanned me, I was quitting anyways. What's funny is that they didn't ban me the first time I went to Nyzul Isle, over half a month ago.

Edit: Also, If you talk to the Runic Portal in Alzadaal after making it Targetable, you can warp back to Whitegate. I believe you can also warp from Whitegate to Alzadaal, but I didn't have enough Imperial Standing points to try.

Was it worth a perma-banning to explore some stuff that'll be open to everyone in just a few months' time? I'm not attacking you or anything; your pics are very cool, but now sometime in the future when you want to play ffxi again, that option's gone, with your main character, anyway. And who wants to start over from scratch?

Why should that result in a perma-ban anyway, when fucking botters and gilfarmers run rampant across all servers? Did the GMs have anything of interest to say?

I don't see you guys having any trouble with CC, at all, Wafik. What exactly are you worried about? '-' We had.. 7 BLMs tonight, and since she doesn't aggro, open up with a wave of Thunder IVs.. just before Thunder IV lands, our tank vokes. Only 7 Thunder IVs took her to 72% (might have been one Chi Blast in there).. so just guessing, in how many BLMs you'll have there, a Thunder IV and a Blizzard IV from each BLM and she's more than dead. Furthermore, she'll only be after you guys for the duration of the Blizzard IV casts, as the Thunder IVs all will take place while she's sitting there with no idea what is about to come her way. Have a BRD Soul Voice and give himself some CHR etudes and slap out a beefed Horde Lullaby as soon as the Thunder IVs land and you guys are homefree.

Unless there is something huge I'm missing in CC that we've never seen, I think Manaburn would take her down relatively painlessly. As for the RDM -1, yeah we would have liked that too. I've never seen it yet, so I'm not sure what to kill. Both the -1 chapeau and -1 roundlet would bring some interest, much more so than autosorted warrior's masks. >_.

If we're gonna do an attempt, I'm planning to either a) Flies > Fairy Ring > Goobue > Megaboss, or

The fact she doesnt aggro is verrrrrrry nice The strat most likely would be IV round > after 1st IV lands, chainspell stun > repeat IV's.

Fairy Ring takes about 40% magic damage if you want an estimate. I didn't pay close attention today, but from old screenshots I have, there's Thundaga 3s landing for around 460-470 damage.

I've had two experiences with CC, both after killing Fairy Ring and Nan'tina. The first time, CC didn't use EBB but we didn't know about the adds that spawn around it so we wiped. The second time, CC wiped us with EBB, so we scrolled up and it seems a SMN's avatar killed Nan'tina. Maybe that had an effect on the outcome, maybe it's just bugged, or maybe we don't understand the zone well enough.

I tried that when I went in there. The GM is just BS'ing you about messing with the zone since you are only playing with interchangeable variables that can be reset; IE:Goal_SW = set(GOAL) = 1 or set(GOAL) = 0. Off and On. Nothing special lol.
You can not warp back to Whitegate because the teleporters are not complete. You get a Dialog asking you to wait while it registers the data in a menu that has a selection cursor but does not give you any options other than to press Escape to exit that menu.

I know for a fact you can warp back to Whitegate because I've done it myself, numerous times. It prompts you to "Use the device?", If you select "Yes", it says "Test.", and then Warps you to Aht Urghan Whitegate. Warping back is what I'm not sure of. Unless of course that's what you meant.
