2 BRD don't need refresh. ;oOriginally Posted by Khamsin
They do when one is out pulling all the time and never around for Ballad, and even the one around doing the Ballads has it wiped the moment they go do double Minuet.Originally Posted by WizerdRemora
In my PTs, the one BRD usually does double March + pulling, the other does double Minuet + Ballad. So I usually keep refresh on the pulling BRD and refresh the stay-at-home BRD as needed.
Make the stay-at-home BRD cast Ballad second, Minuet first. >_>Originally Posted by Khamsin

It ends up being the same thing, when you alternate between the two.. just depends on when they have to throw in lullabies and cures. Besides, the stay-at-home BRD usually doesn't have much problem with MP anyway. I just refresh them if/when they hit the 75% mark or so if they're cure spamming.
It's the pulling BRD I have to keep constant refresh on, since they never wait for Ballad.
I've done it and do it as often as I can sucker 2 of my BRD friends into XPing at once. Problem is, that's not very often. For whatever reason, all our LS BRDs leveled the jobs for end-game stuff and only 1-2 of them ever XP the job (and that rarely enough).Originally Posted by WizerdRemora
2x BRD makes the world go 'round. I lol irl every time you bring up 2x BRD and some bandwagon WAR/NIN does the "omgitsuxunoob" routine. Then they try it, and they can't get on their knees to suck you off fast enough. Of course they still suck and get outdamaged horribly by the other two competent DDs, but even a retarded assbaby looks good with 2 BRDs pumpin' them full of March and Minuet.
I lol @ them too.Originally Posted by Amastacia

When I'm the pulling BRD in a 2 BRD setup, I prefer NIN sub over WHM sub. Then I can minimize the dmg I take while pulling, and I don't need to bother with ballads or refresh.
It works out really well I think.
If I'm the only BRD in a pt though I tend to stick to WHM sub. I still have to level RDM and try it out someday.
Dual bard partys with the Gjallarhorn are sexy. Your MP is good and you get the dual bard goodness. Unfortunately one of the people that had the Gjallarhorn on our server is the bard equivalent of a melee rdm.
I have a couple questions for the hords.
1) Weapons that are DW'ed return TP based on the combined delay -DW. From what I read, both weapons (even if ones 400 and the others 150) will return the same TP when swung. Because that Tp is based on the avarage, having a higher delay main hand (even tho you swing slower) will incrase the TP return per hit for your offhand. With multihit weapons, you'll be returning higher TP per swing. Where as a lower delay weapon would return less TP, but proc more often.
Now to the question. In thickets I've noticed that ridill/joy wars aren't tearing up the parser like they were in sky. I've also noticed in the same party, that axe/ridill wars are parsing a lot better. It's hard to say because I can't test this first hand, and I don't rely on the accuracy of the parse outside of first hand. Is it worth it for wars in thickets partys, when facing lukers from time to time and AoE flash, to main hand an axe over a Ridill?
Again, not a war. Just something I wanted to know.
2) I only started reading crap off KI a few weeks ago. I usually don't browse too many forums. I missed the thread where this was discussed at nauseam. Do people simply thing that because its combined delay, it's effect are more potent? In theory haste acts the same way. The only reason why DW is more potent is because of when it's calculated.
Or was it something specific to going from 60% of your combined delay to 55%? I don't fully grasp the argument. I guess I'll have to pop over to KI and give it the one over.
