Organised religion is not the true evil that everyone claims it to be. Like so many other things it has been corrupted, changed and misinterpreted so many times. For instance, the current copy of the King James bible is different than one written 5 years ago. Organised religion is what made the world what it is today. Its set of laws and values created the basis for most societies.
However, most organised religions have out-lived thier usefulness. People cling to the values of the old world and refuse to change and allow thier beliefs to change with it. The problem I see is when a person of a certain faith tries to impose thier values on others. It still happens today with those so-called missionaires that travel the world "aiding" the less fortuneate. This is where the problems lie IMO.
If you want to believe in something, great! Keep it to yourself unless people ask and never force your beliefs on others.
BTW, I happen to be a buddhist but I was originally a Baptist (damn parents

). So I don't hate organised religions but I don't like how they conduct business.
