Listen, I have some pull with good old "J.C." and for a sizable 'donation' and can have that sin cleared from your permanent record, thus insuring your place in the eternal beauty of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Please send a self-addressed stamped envelope to:

    Bless you my son.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

Religions like scientology where you have to pay to get service is ridiculous I agree, but I could go to church every sunday for the rest of my life and not donate a dime, and still get to hear the mass.

And I didn't know people still passed out bibles at the Black-Jack tables.

I'd rather have the doctor do what he can with the band-aids if that was what he could do, than have him just sit there and watch me bleed to death. ANY help is better than no help.

You seem to want to blame religion for poverty, as if we got rid of all religion everoyne would magically find a job. There will still be poverty, and at least they try to do something about it. I odon't know why you'd mention people 6-8 paychecks away from finacial ruin, that has really nothing to do with religion. I pay like 5 bucks when I go to church if I can. If someone is on finacial ruin then they won't be forced to pay a huge donation. And how much do you think the goverment spends for religious purposes anyways? You make it sound like all the governemnet's money goes into it.

Don't blame the religion for poverty and a bad economy, there are things like goverment and human nature that ar emuch more likely canidates for that.

i never blamed religion for poverty, i said that with the tremendous amount of resources they have at their disposal they could be doing a much better job.

when you have billions and billions of dollars and access to a sizable volunteer work force and all you do is toss out a few meals its rediculous.

the 6-8 paycheck thing was to illustrate you could be closer to becoming a member of the very system youre saying is "good enough" than you think. one in which when you actually see it, you realize that its bull.

yea organized religion pisses me off but only because of their politics... not because of the message their teachings are trying to convey to the general public.

Christians are aware of how much power we have as a group, or even within the US as a country, we have so much money flowing around it's ridiculous.

But it's harder to get food to people that need it and medicine to people that need it than you think. If the world were only perfect.....
