Unlike other sequels, prequel, etc...
Each Final Fantasy has no connection/relation to previous installment. So there will be no last Final Fantasy.
FF7 is a fucking shitty game. Stop remaking shitty game please.

Iku do you realize what you're saying? Run away!![]()
It's not a shit game, it's a great game that's been demeaned by stupid fanboys (pro and anti FFVII). It's still my favourite FF out of all I've played.
FF7 is "avarage". There are many other and BETTER games out there.
FFVII sucks.
1. Only Cloud can save the world. wow, that is like so cliche. Nothing can save the world but SUPAMAN.
2. The villian looks like a freaking queer. Queer Begone.
3. FFVII inspired a bunch of kids who named the account like SepirothXXXXXXXX or xCloudxDicks. Ohhh, and a bunch of fags dressed up like their character.
End discussion. No remake for FFVII.
Wow, what solid ground you have for calling FFVII a shitty game. A gold star for you, sir.Originally Posted by Iku
FFX-2? You may think it's girlie but that's the hardest FF I've ever played (I suck at side missions and FFX-2 was like 60 hours worth of them) and it was a direct sequel to FFX.Originally Posted by Iku
Also Dirge of Cerberus is connected/related to FFVII so you fail again.
FF7 wasnt shitty or anything, but for god sake, people need to move to something else. It's like everyone got brainwashed by it because of nostalgia.
Frankly, FF7 had one of the best RPG systems in the history of RPGs (the materia system) and one of the worst stories in the history of storytelling.
Why are people still talking about this game? lol
Some like it, some dont, some hate it because others love it. Personal preferance.
In retrospect, yeah, the story wasn't its strong point. But it's still the only game EVER where a plot twist has genuinely surprised me to the point of slacked jaw and all that.Originally Posted by Shaede
I could care less what other people think about FFVII, yes, it has it's faults (which incidentally are hard to find at a young age), but it's still my favourite FF, none have come close to the experience I had with it. I don't think the story was that bad, it was told pretty well and was entertaining, Aerith dying was one of the most emotional scenes I've seen in an RPG.
Do I think it's the best game ever made? Hell no, it's certainly not my favourite RPG (Suikoden 2 and So2 are)
The anti-FF7 fanboys are just as bad as the FF7 fanboys, and Iku is a prime example of a rabid anti-FF7 fanboy who's just as blind as the rest of the Sephiroth loving bitches. Nostalgia does play a major roll in why I liked it so much, and if FF5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 was the first one I ever played (and gave me a similar experience) I would love it just as much, but I remember the FUN I had playing it back then I'm not saying I want to relive it (infact I'd madly against a remake).
Yeah, nostalgia plays a big part. I've played them each upon US release starting with good ol' FF1 in the late 80's, so I tend to be biased towards the golden 2D days of the series.
1) Technically, he didn't. Aeris did.Originally Posted by Iku
2) Well, no arguing that...I guess you win?
3) What about the massive variations of Legolas? Does LOTR suck now too?
FFVII was my first big RPG. Before then my RPG experience was Shining Force 1 and 2 lol. The game was awesome and I think the story is a lot deeper than some people look into it. I've watched the movie multiple times and at first I thought there were answers and then I realized it just opens up more questions about things.
I haven't completed FFVI yet, but I doubt it'll make the impression on me FFVII did. Is FFVII the best ever? No, most likely not. But it's a solid game in many aspects and I loved it. But Suikoden 1 and 2 were also big for me, I think those two are almost as huge to me as FFVII. And was Suikoden cliche? Yeah... "hey you random boy, you're the leader of the 108 stars of destiny, go talk to random people and tell them to head to your castle, then kill the bad guys and you win!" But 1 and 2 were amazing.

Blind nostalgia is stupid.
Hating things because other people like them is stupid.
So you're saying the game sucks because of the annoying fanboys?Originally Posted by Iku
No.. while they do add on to the hatred feelings toward the game, they do NOT make it suck. What makes FF7 an avarage game is what it is. A decent, avarage game.

Oh, and a fast text option. There was only one point in the whole story where the text wasn't slow. When Fei has to kill the giant lizard in the first forest. OMG text is moving quickly for 5 seconds, getting your hopes up. But that was it

A FF VI remake would be awesome, seeing the Opera in true CG fashion would probably be amazing. Seriously, the Opera made FF VI for me, though the characters were great, doing the mini-sidequests for everyone's stories in the WoR was fun.
Screw a FF VII remake, the materia system was a hell of a good step up from Espers, true, but aside from that, it doesn't have many saving graces... and after seeing how SE catered to the fanboys with FF:AC, I can't imagine how they'd ruin FF VII even further, and don't want to try either.
