    ToAU is our holy land. Last time I was in FFXI (month ago or so) the gil sellers on Kujata were still trying to get Lufaise Meadows access so they could whore up Padfoot. Kujata's gil sellers are in fact, slightly retarded. Though I think they killed Byakko. D:

    From what I've heard, new spells may be under merits, as well as new job abilities for certain jobs... Personally, I'm hoping they expand the current merit selections but keep the caps on. That is to say, right now you can do 8 magic merits into one magic, as a maximum, and 8 in the whole category. 12 in Combat Skills, 8 in each offensive one and 4 in defensive ones.

    I want this to change to say, 12 max magic, with 8 kept as the cap for a single magic skill. As well as 8 cap on a combat skill but raise the category max to 16. If they raise the magic/combat skill caps along with the category cap people will just recap whatever they had before.

    And in line with the new merits, I hope they make more places like Bhaflau Thickets and Caederva Mire. As of now, there are only 3 good exp spots:

    Bhaflau Thickets (@ Mamool Ja staging point)
    Mamook (Beyond true sight Mamool Ja in a loop area)
    Caederva Mire (@ Imps and Jnun)

    Others are more makeshift for friday/saturday nights than anything...

    Dvucca isnt bad to exp on at alll, really. The only reason most pt's dont go there is coz nobody else goes there, so they go to the most overcrowded spot they can find.

    Past examples : Boyahda tree, Kazham, Bibiki Bay, Altepa desert.

    At first there'll be 1 party, then 2 parties, then in a few months there'll be 713 people in the zone.

    Those THF skeletons [never missed a skeleton so much] just ruined everything... they all have the same name so we can't not pull them and mangle was pretty bad too. That's enough for me to stay outta there.

    Yea but they lack food/refresh bonus and +% EXP bonus just for EXP'ing there with alternate "Signet" on. Sanction = win.

    Meh. No IS, hard to get to, and at least 15% less exp per hour.

    It was pretty obvious that the patch wasn't going to be this month; they would have been releasing far more PR promo info about the changes/additions in it, if it was going to be that soon.

    I do wonder if the Linkshell Community addition will be tied to the patch or not. It was listed as being available "in the very near future", not with the patch, but that would be a logical time to put it in, as well.

    The revamped official site looks good; too bad they had to break 90% of the links in doing it. Even the new links for most news items have missing frames, making a search for anything except the most basic articles on there an ugly prospect.

    I was hoping they'd release the patch around midnight June 30th, since the in-game millenium is 1:24am EST. I'm kind of curious if SE even knows about it.

    Dunno if you're a rdm or not, but I can bind exp mobs fairly well and consistently, Gravity's recast timer isnt so long with haste up.

    Re THF Skeletons : Have your bard sing madrigal instead of march/minuet on those ones, aswell as your rdm sticking Gravity, and you wont have problems anymore.


    I only talk from what i've experienced I had an exp pt there, and because mobs are not sleepable, it's one of those KRT style setups needed, BRD RDM WHM MNK x3 or whatever DD really, but if you're using other DD's get a tank

    Qutrub walk slow too, they're not too bad.
