Calling Your Chocobo
Calling your chocobo will involve an enchant item, similar to the signal pearl or empress band. With the appropriate item equipped, you will be able to call your trusty mount at any time, [b]in any area where chocobo riding is permitted.[b/b]

If this can be called in dungeons/cities then it will be really hot shit. Also will invalidate Mazurka in some situations though.

Well, NPCs can't be called in certain areas, so I'm sure similar restrictions will be placed on chocobos - I could see making them callable in places like Ule. Range or Xarcabard maybe, but certainly not dungeons.

God, a chocobo in Ule. Range might actually make doing the ENMs there worthwhile again.

I wonder how long it will take to summon a chocobo. Imagine having your mages hop on their own chocobo during a Tiamat fight (if you can even use it there) to avoid AOE damage and to have their enmity die down.

That is what I get for reading other posters and not the entire OP lol... makes sense it is only outdoors though. Ule Range and Xarc would make sense as they are outdoors. Wishful thinking on my part for the dungeons and cities... cities just for showing off and being a jackass though.

When ToAU first came out, I saw the different colors in the DATs, but I don't recall seeing any kind of armor-clad chocobos, so don't get your hopes up.

Also don't think I saw a white chocobo, but definitely saw all the colors they mentioned in the update notes.

They said Armoured Chocoboes were only for lancers and stuff in the war, but you can breed the black choco which carries the same traits as the armoured ones, I guess minus the armour.

I'm still holding out on a purple chocobo =O

This would have been nice 3 years ago. Now it's just SE trying to play catchup to WoW. It's actually pretty sad that they're making a big fanfare about adding a feature practically every other game already has. Meanwhile ToA will still lack any end game content.

Yeah most games have end game mounts (not just WoW). Shit that you can use just about anywhere anytime. Hell in Lineage II you can get your Strider to attack enemies lol. Traveling from place to place has always been an effective timesink. That and LFG time in cities.

Well, CoP did add the 3 wyrm at release iirc, and all of them are more challenging than cerberus. Their drop, despite being lame, is also better than Cerberus' >_>

I can't equip chigoe in weapon slot, your grand marid point isnt true


I'm not sure about assault, but stuff like Igqara Weskit, barone armor were better than most of the set you see in ToA.
