    I wanted to do that earlier while working Detonator latents then realized I had no Ice Cards on me -_-

    These are some great tests but many more need to be done. The one I'm interested in is how much Wind Shot enhances Acid Bolt (or whatever) defense down by. Whenever the Thief in my set did it and I enhanced it, the increase in my damage was rediculous and I was able to fire off a few 1.2k+ slugs when stacked with Dia II.

    I think Armor Break and Acid Bolt status accompanies the same slot. Pretty sure you can dispel an attack boost with either in the same manner, so they likely can't stack. Dia2 definately stacks with both.

    I could be wrong, but I was always told that NIN elemental debuffs only last until the next spell is cast... So since quickshot is considered a magic attack, that would make sense why it removes the debuff.
    Other than the fact that PC behavior might differ from mob behavior, I'm pretty sure from Ballista experience that the Ninjustu debuff behavior lasts just a few seconds, regardless of whether another spell is cast on you. Everytime I get Ninjutsu'd, I always hit Alt+E and look at the effect, and notice that it always wears off in a few seconds (the elemental defense down #).

    Anyone tested if Drg 2 hour stacks with acid bolts? If so how potent is the defense down?

    What about weapons with Additional Effect: Defense Down? Or is the Additional Effect: Defense Down on acid bolts the same as it would be on any other weapon?

    Also, given the earlier discussion on the topic, does Duelist's Tights + Ice Spikes paralyze come anywhere close to the proc rate of the regular Paralyze spell?

    No; it takes regular Paralyze, sets it on fire and pisses it out.

    Anything that goes in the slot of "defense down" won't stack, but will stack if it's something like dia which has its own slot. This would need to be confirmed for us to know 100% with blue magic, but that's how everything else in this game works and other blue magic effects seem to work that way too.

    You know... Duelist's Tights was the first piece of AFv2 I got, and I haven't really tested the Spikes+ out very much (Cept killing chigoes with Blaze Spikes only, now THAT is some fun stuff). Are we even sure that Tights effect Para Proc Rate? I know they increase the damage a few, but I've seen Hex Eye-esque Para proc from Ice Spikes without tights on. I was always under the impression that it was random.

    Also, to anyone who has tested this (Most likely Raineer), do you have the tights on as you cast or can you just put them on afterward? (I know the Damage increase on Blaze, you can put them on after, but I don't like to assume so... how does that work?)

    As you said, you need to have the af2 on for blazespike to benefit, it doesn't matter what you cast it with. The most prudent assumption would be that ice spikes work the same way.

    As you said, you need to have the af2 on for blazespike to benefit, it doesn't matter what you cast it with. The most prudent assumption would be that ice spikes work the same way.
    Yeah, if it really matters I'll leave AF2 on until I see para proc once and then swap back into Dusk.

    Spikes is wierd... You have to leave on the AF2 (and MAB too, it works) to receive that benefit, but INT is calculated on initial cast so casting in errant then swapping to melee gear will still net a benefit.

    Do you think pairing a BLM with a COR for the "Excavation Duty" assault would work? I wonder if Quick Draw would clear the rocks any faster.

    No, requeim resists if I recall.

    60 dmg more per minute on those walls is pretty good.

    Dot is the majority of damage on rocks. I've cleared one wall solo faster than 2 melees on rdm.

    I guess it makes sense that mab needs to be on for you to get the bonus, never tested it, but it's consistent seeing as how having fire staff equipped boosts damage too.
