It's Flux, what do you think?Originally Posted by Not Kuno
I just live here. I have a 9-5 job, hang out with friends on the weekends, go to the beach periodically and play FFXI when I'm bored.Originally Posted by Siatdiat
Do you seriously think taking someone who can increase Bio damage by 60 points per minute once every 3 minutes is worthwhile?Originally Posted by Not Kuno
Maybe if your monks are still working on getting their AF1 and can't hit for more than 1 damage.
God damn, you are dumb.
60damage a minute and joyeuse = more than 60 damage a minute. But I still think a second BLM RDM or MNK would be better.Originally Posted by FFXIFlux
huh, bio3 is -10hp/tick isn't it? so shot basically upgrades the debuff tier?
edit: nvm shot doesn't make bio1 into -7hp/tick, stupid me
Yes, at least I do, especially if you can't find the "optimal" set up of 2 BLM and a MNK.Originally Posted by FFXIFlux
We consciously do it as MNK, RDM, RDM even though both of them have BLM leveled. Can anyone provide an argument why BLM could be better?Originally Posted by Norelco
They can solo Qiqirn easier/faster after debuffs are on the wall to help speed up runs? /shrugOriginally Posted by Russta

The rats don't aggro.
My group of mnk/blm/blm has alway finished with 3-8 minutes left, depending on how attentive we are and if anyone DC's, etc.
This is sorta a noobish question, but I'm not an RDM or BLM so...
Are Bio II and the elemental debuffs fixed damage/tick? From what I saw at my last Excavation Duty, Bio II duration seemed to cap at 2 minutes, and elementals at 1.5 minutes but I don't know about whether the DoT depends on dark/elemental/INT respectively.
Bio2 is fixed dot regardless of stats. Elemental debuffs I believe are based on the caster's int score. BLM friend tells me it's something like floor(INT/25) but I've never seen data that supports or refutes this. Maybe Raineer knows.Originally Posted by Ichthyos
I remember reading that every 25INT = 1dmg on elemental dot, but never really bothered to test <_<;Originally Posted by Ichthyos
Close, it's 20.Originally Posted by Julian
However, RDM and BLM INT aren't that far apart if the RDM's gear doesn't suck.. BLM will widen the gap with 5 INT merits of course (RDM main meriting INT needs to be shot), but my base hume 75RDM/BLM INT = 70 and hume 75BLM/WHM = 69. It's not a huge difference. Not alot of INT that a BLM can wear that a RDM can't (if any?)
Obviously BLM should to sub SMN in this situation.
well ok, there's another 4 INT. RDM could too thoughOriginally Posted by aurik
But RDM subbing SMN is stupid...Originally Posted by Raineer
