I get asked to make SH all the time; it's a curse. I was the server SH+1 whore, I made 61 of them and never used a SH+1 when leveling up any of my jobs lol. Anyway, I dropped the T2 I had on it well over a year ago, and still get asked to make them.

Hes not worried about getting jailed he just gets annoyed that people come to him for HQ even though he tells them other people have a better chance to HQ and then when he NQs they get mad.

Completely off-topic but I'm fucking livid at the moment.

People with 0 levels in a craft, absolute fucktards, shouts 5 days straight+ to sell snipers +1 for less than AH by a shit load -> buys a byrnie +1 and a cerb mantle -> less than a week later sells the cerb mantle for 200k lower than one has ever been sold on the server, ever, just to unload it -> buys 2 behemoth hides on AH 30k over last listing that not a single crafter on the server was going to touch (put dusk feet at about 180k loss nq) -> spamming shout to sell byrnie +1

And no doubt will be either listing dusk or unicorn for 100k under last listing for no reason soon due to being an absolute fuckwad.

3 more cerb mantles sold at that lowest mark ever before I was able to bring it back up, I'm hoping abstaining from buying behemoth hides will carry some effect on the price (i was already actively trying to lower them) as I buy more often than the rest of the 100+3 leathercrafters combined, even though a few JP put me to shame on gil level.

It's just fucking...i dont know...can I afford to synth at this prices? Yeah, should I have to because of 1 fucking french wanna-be-hnmer's indecisiveness? Absofuckinglutely not.

Feel it should be noted that this assclown was also stupid enough to buy an algol from our LS for 5 mil, and Nhead for 1.5 I believe, while being in an HNM shell themselves, it makes my head explode.

This is a huge rant and probably nobody cares but I'm sure you've all experienced some IGE babies fucking up your prices before and personally, I just want to roll them up in a tarp and drop them into a lake, gbdfgdjsdgdfsgds /rant.

Im seeing the same thing but more so from people who have moved from other servers. Our economy (smithing) was sooo stable until one person came and just started tearing it down. He overpays on every item possible. (D ingots down to 400, yet still buys that last one for 450 instead of waiting an hour) Drops NQ haubys down by 50k each time he makes, then drops +1 haubs and berks by like 2-300k when its the ONLY one on AH. Someone was just telling me last night that the guy is moving back to his old server because the prices atre too low here! Hey F-Tard, stop lowering EVERY SINGLE item you make. I checked his mule, every single item he sold was at least 10% lower than the one sold before and after his.

Definitely true skeet, and while it's annoying as all hell, and it fucks up big-ticked items that I've been trying for (dusk +1 feet and cerb mantle +1 for myself) it remains that there's all of like 2-3 NA 100+3 leathercrafters left on the server, it's not like it cuts me off.

Just means I go back to NQing snipers rings and wivre masks full time, with maybe a few batches of errant pigaches mixed in.

Hell, I've never really settled in with Blessed pumps +1, probably 10~ synths @tier 0.

It's just the whole atmosphere of it, they have the FFXI AH layout full done, with pictures and job levels and XP totals and everything except craft levels. Why? because they spend over 1.5 mil a day on average and have 0 crafts.

I know bitching won't change it, and I've seen enough market fluctuations to write a book on it, but fuck, I'm just at the end of my rope, putting off synths for personal use, not even profit, it's just bullshit.

I need to find a place with only 3 NA Blacksmiths. Theyre like gremlins here, they just keep multiplying.

edit: One other thing, when people come to me and ask me to make certain items. I tell them up front "If you raise the price of materials at AH, or lower the price of sale i wont make the item". This has worked well so far. I have 4 people who want plastrons signed. 4 Ore on AH and theyve been up and sent back for over a week and none of those people have bought them. Seller wants more than last sale.

There is an NA crafter who does all of the things that were said above...and doesn't give a shit about it. Multiple people have confronted him multiple times to ask him to stop. He just says, "Free/Open market, it's just supply and demand lol".

No fucking retard, no one was going to overpay 50k for those damascus ingots. No one was going to undercut haubergeons by 30k. No one was going to synth 10 cursed hauberks just to desynth them because you can't sell them. No one was going to buy all the v claws and synth them and sell way below current price.

Maybe one day you'll learn who I'm talking about since you craft on Phoenix now.

That's so true and quite depressing actually. On Bahamut there's so many clothcrafters that there's barely any money to be made even on HQ. I've decided to just sign myself an errant/mahatma cape when i can get some materials since it's ridiculously hard to even sell the NQ. Dalmatica is only made by request usually and lolBlessed body is the skill up item and therefore you lose way to much on NQ to warrant even trying your hand at HQ.

But on topic, I also agree that some people can be quite annoying. Though normally I wouldn't refuse to do a synth if asked politely and when someone is shouting for a crafter I wouldn't charge him if I responded to his shout myself. If he decides to tip me, I'll gladly accept though ^^

The ironic part is, i remember when i first started crafting. There were people who would see you sell something more than once, so they would make a few and turn them i nto a loss just so you didnt have the funds coming in to lvl the craft. Now it seems i wait til none on the AH, HQ 1 or 2 (or mule 10) and raise the price up. Only for some corky thatcher look a like to come by and undercut again.

We have another smith on my server that literally undercuts HIMSELF. Hes sold the last 3 of an item... each one down in price. As is with any crafter, i KNOW when an item is on the AH and follow how many pop up. Believe me, his were the only ones and he still chopped the price. I asked him about it and got the "dont worry, i know what im doing...do you?" Keep in mind, i helped this person get to his 100 smithing. But hes probably right, i guess i dont know anything.
