It was our 2nd JOL of the night.

As Luminaire said, we were very stable straight tanking (using blinkers) AV, however, we just couldn't solve the problem of the 2hours. I am sure if we have solved that issue, we would have sent back people like Battosi to try out BLU mage abilities.

What really worries me is that alot of our "testing" may be in vain. Call me crazy, but I dont put much faith in S-E game scripters. I mean, if they didn't consider using exploits such as walls and having counters for it (draw-in), did they honestly consider every possible contigency than an LS might do? Is the AV-Encounter script truely robust enough to handle all the stupid stuff that happens? Can we really be certain that AV's scripts don't break due to the claim/hold fest with rebuilding the alliances every wipe? Maybe the jailer weapons only let AV do a 2hour once? Who knows...

Pretty much the only definitive thing is that AV does a Meteor when she 2hours Manafont, so better start equipping all your blms with Prudence Rods.

I still am interested in AV but also disappointed in the apparently impossible difficulty. I’m also sad that any efforts of discussing future strategies get immediately shot down by trolls and ToAU. (Really, past massive exp, assault and one HNM there isn’t much for the HNM community in this expansion. This IS a primarily HNM board isn’t it?)

The only string of faith I have that it is possible to kill is a quote from SE saying that there is indeed a way to close off his abilities. (Can’t find the exact interview, hopefully someone else can confirm this.) I guess we have to sit around and hope that someone stumbles upon it.

Suppose I'll contribute what I learned with seashell. We've done 2 JoL's since the expansion, one of which yielded an AV. As the other posters have some what confirmed, I didn't notice anything with jailer weapons sealing his abilities at all, and have no reason to think that SE would change the manner in which is abilities were sealed. We were unable to satisfactorily replicate our old theory of how wyverns/abilities are sealed, I believe that to still be the case though. I was unimpressed with our attempt to straight tank, he washed down an Impact Stream with an Aeraga IV, which combined is pretty much as lethal as meteor. The expansion has hit participation hard though, and I doubt we'll be able to get in many more serious efforts against him, unfortunately.

This means Map is going to be the only person with a ninurta's sash, ever.

I was thikning about this the other day. I mean, the way interest in Sea is dwindling, and AV now seeming to be unkillable, the odds of another Sash ever existing in game are pretty slim. That being said, I give you 200 gil for it ok?
