Mamool Ja SP Assault Mission..

OK, I can't even begin to describe how angry I am doing the PSC Mamool Ja mission for it's points...Keep getting the shaft with unlucky crap like 10 Firespits in a row not hitting door, mages dropping staves as soon as they get near, Stave Toss missing me, but not hitting the door, etc...

I want to know, is the SP mission worth a damn for whoring up AP? I'm 14,000/20,000 for my second Yigit piece here, and I just lost PSC 3 times in a row due to BS luck. I just want to get my Yigit here and never come back. Please please PLEASE tell me the SP mission yields better AP then the PFC, while not being as wildly luck based as the PSC one.. Anyone know? And if you could give me a quick run down of the assault itself too, that'd be appreciated. Thanks.

I did the PFC Mamool Ja one with MNK/WAR BRD/WHM RDM/WHM, we raped it with about 8 minutes left even after falling down and having to fight some Puks and having trouble claiming some top ones.

The SP one, though, I think your group could do with those jobs but would have to be careful. It's not really that hard, just takes patience.

Unless you really need an item from the Mamool Ja Assaults right now, I'd recommend just waiting until the summer patch. There will likely be 2-3 new ranks of missions, and Mamool Ja points might be easier to get afterward. The other 4 areas all have 3k-4k point missions that are easily farmable with 3 people (SP Leujaoam, PSC Lebros, SP Periqia, PFC Ilrusi) so if you need anything from those areas, just farm those now and put Mamool Ja on the backburner?

PFC Leujaoam is worth 4k (SP is worth 3k) and it is also very easily farmable with 3 people

But..but! Yigit Gages are a wet dream for RDM's everywhere. Well, ok, more like a slot saver, but still. I want them because I will eventually nab the full set. Plus, being 14,000/20,000 on them makes it hard as hell to just stop and wait. I wanted to get 20,000 so I can whore up Lamia 13 with 2 other RDM friends. That Assault is actually fun to grind.

I'm not grinding for any ex items at all. I kinda want the +3 int neckpiece for my blm (free philomath) from 60->65 where I've got ele/enf torques. I suppose I could just do a few more excavation duties and swap a chiv chain for it.

Ack, sounds pretty rough. I've made about 10k AP on that one and we've rarely lost.

I need to do the PFC missions in Leujoam and Halvung but half my guys have gotten kinda bored with Assault.

How could you possibly do SP Mamool Ja with 3 people? We did it with 5 last night and BARELY won. Once he starts getting 6-7 trainees on him, there's no way to keep all that stuff slept with just a few people.

Wouldn't that mean you're screwed? It's more than a 30s run back to the NPC from the mining points.
