The fourth census used to be here, until S-E redesigned the website last week. Google still has some of them cached, but I can't find them on POL.com anymore.

the consensus info was pretty interesting. maybe it'll help raise the cost of dynamis currency across all servers. anyway, it would've been nice if they included people on stage 3 (and maybe stage 2) to get a bigger picture of all the people trying to work their relic weapon. also breaking down relics per server would've been helpful.

    i almost get cussed out when i try to bargain with people to sell for 20k/each. sometimes i get lucky. current prices on asura are about 50k-100k/coin. i guess a lot of people don't realize that they're paying 5M for 100 coins-possibly sponsoring the seller's next 5 dynamises to continue the vicious cycle. what a great idea for the gilsellers. -_-;

Why the hell would you want the rate on these inflated even more?

On Valefor the prices were up to around 50k/coin when there were a few wealthy JPs finishing off 2 or 3 weapons. Now that they have finished prices have thankfully sunk down to the 30-35k/coin range if you buy out of bazaars but 20-28k/coin is possible if you work out deals with people.

I remember back to a very long time ago when currency was 5k/coin & people were staggered when it jumped to 10k/coin.

They were 5k on asura for a long time, then for no fucking reason at all, Heckler shouts in jeuno that he's buying for 25k each (because this was back when 90% of the morons thought lvl2+3 = coins, 4 and 5 = free!).

Ever since then they've done nothing but rise, now they hang at 40-50k now that me and brennon are done They were 60k for a while, I refused to buy anything over 50k though.

Our LS just recently began actually putting LS effort, i.e. gil, into upgrading relic weapons.

Our goal is to generally buy for 25k/coin or less and we are able to get bargains here and there. There aren't any JPs left who are seriously upgrading to the point of shelling out 50k/coin anymore so I think most of those left with coins in bazaar for 35k are dreaming if they think someone will buy them. I see the same mules bazaaring the same currency at the same price for weeks on end without a single piece ever being bought. Sooner or later they'll realize that those left upgrading aren't dumb enough to pay that much and the price will go down more.

Other people are smart enough to be willing to haggle a bit, and I think if someone has say 1,000 currency on them that they can't sell and you are willing to buy all of it at once, but at a more reasonable price, then they are getting a deal as well.

We also are able to get deals through our Dynamis LS, although we sponsor some of the runs we still let people lot 100's, and some of those who win will simply sell to us on the spot for a fair price, so that works out.

I can agree that with all the inflation that occured the 5k/coin days are gone forever but I think the 30k+/coin rate is also a bit inflated.

The worst part of relic upgrades, in my experience, are the wave upon wave of people who are 'upgrading' that will never make it past stage 1. They horde what little currency they have, anywhere from 100-2,000 sometimes and make little to no progress on moving forward. It strikes me as such a waste at times.

"Hording" is a smart decision on their parts. Upgraders can never really know exactly how excruciating it is to get the necessary coins until you've been doing it for several months and are on the long, cold path to Stage 4. Saving your coins without upgrading is great, it's what all servers need, because those coins aren't yet taken out of circulation. If the horder gives up halfway through stage 2, then now he can pump that 1,000 currency back into the upgrading market.

The real problems are the people who complete first and/or second upgrades, then quit. Their money is gone forever, and the rest of us have to suffer. I think EVERYONE should horde currency until they're ready to complete the second upgrade, then do 1 and 2 back to back.

    [Ninja edit: clarification.]

I mispoke somewhat in the sense of hording, I actually was referring more to people who have finished at least the first upgrade but have then given up when they see how much currency it really is.

Some people do simply horde currency without upgrading, and this doesn't take the currency out of circulation obviously, but I think people aren't realistic about their upgrading goals all the time either. Some people really will buckle down & really put money towards the upgrade, but most will simply sit on it and never really make progress on their weapon but will also never give up unless they are truly desperate for gil.

The markup people are probably the most annoying. The ones that buy cheap or bargin with people and then sell for profit. They don't really help anyone but aid in coin inflation. Still I don't buy above 35k/ea anymore and don't have a whole lot further to go.

I'm suprised people pay 5m for coins because it seems you are making shit harder for yourself. I think all dynamis shells should stop the "let coins drop" thing and just sell loot to members for 10k each who can and will actually upgrade. I wonder how many NA players have relic weapons out of that list.

I've been buying @30k each on Ragnarok, and when I see in bazaars for 35 I try to ask if the person will lower to 30k. I actually had one person tell me no, because he buys at 30k and resells at 35k and that's how me makes money. I explained to him all the hardships he's causing people who are gathering coins, because 5k isn't going to be a lot to him, but to someone collecting thousands it's going to add up quick.

Wow, that guy is an assbag. You should tell him if he wants to make some good gil, to buy up a bunch of dice and when Chayaya gets kidnapped from Al Zahbi to post them on the AH for double the price.

anything 35k and under is bought immediately and many people buy 40-70k because of the af2+1 (fu se)
Well, I see 100 Pieces for 7 Million and such, people don't need those for Relic Armor upgrades right?
