POL Critical Errors

For the past week or two, I have been getting these incredibly annoying POL error's. Sometimes I can be on for 5 hours without it happening, other times it can happen while I've been logged on for 2 minutes. I've tried re-installing POL/FFXI/COP/ToAU, I've also tried using the "File Check" option within POL. It finds some errors when I scan FFXI, says it has fixed the problem, but the errors persist. My screen will go black randomly while playing, and the screenshot I have included is what pops up. Short of formatting my HD, I really can't thing of another solution. Has anoyne else had this problem, if so how have you fixed it? Thanks in Advance. Also, this happens both when using Windower and NQ ffxi.

Yeah, I get those now and then. Usually in Al Zahbi right when I zone/warp in, and sometimes again right after I try loading POL and FFXI back up. I attributed it to laggy events like besieged or the game being on for a long time on a crappy computer like mine.

I did suspect it had something to do with the Windower though.. but I had no basis for it other than "gee I wonder if the windower is doing this".

If I play on fullscreen, I never get these. I don't get them on Windower also, only if I DC, then log back in. To avoid them, I have to shut down POL, log out completely, then restart and log back in after every DC ._.

Did you DC any times before these?

No I've never really had any issues DCing. As for attributing it to lag I really don't think that is the case. I've made it through several dynamis runs and other high lag areas (HNM camps and such) without getting this error. Infact, more often than not, it seems to happen in areas without a lot of lag. At the time of my initial post, it happened while I was leveling my SAM in W.Ron. I rebooted, ran file check, went back in, was on for approx 30 seconds and it happened again (about the 5th or 6th time today). That is when I got fed enough to make this post.

Same problem as me... if I d/c I have to completely restart to get the game to work most of the time.

I sometimes get it if I turn a plugin on via console (windower) when ingame, or if i load POL with some plugins active (work if you turn on with console once ingame, just not when booting).

This happened to me a lot before COP came out. Apparently SE said that the built in Vid and Aud card I was using was not compatible with FFXI. Mind you I was using these for over 1yr before this started to happen. So I upgraded to Nvidia and Audigy, still same thing would happen. It ended up being that my RAM was either going bad or overused so much that when trying to load new areas or just play the game as is, it would crash. Replaced my RAM and this never happened to me again. Then again your situation might be different. Usually this error happens from Hardware issues and not Software issues.

I get this alot, totally and completely random too. I have my WW mule standing next to me while fishing, nothing occurs, no mobs or zone, POL msg out of nowhere. My laptop gets them all the time.

Desktop very rarely, like 1 every 2 weeks or so.
