We called JP friends down here to help. One of the "leaders" of the JPs gave us a method of what to do to lock its 2hrs. I don't really want to give out info right now because 1. I dont' know if this really works, and 2. if I'm allowed to. Please don't flame me yet, because if we do kill it tonight, I will post the method to share with everyone.

That's all I saw about how you were fighting, besides doing Flood > TGA3 over and over (which I'm not bitching about). I'm curious what "method" the JP guys told you to try to lock the 2hrs, or tame him, or whatever.

They killed the NM's outside, at least I read that somewhere in this thread

Yeah, while I kept sac'ing AV for over 2 hours, the JPs and we joined forces to wipe out half the sea NMs while AV was up. A theory the JP said would work. Each NM killed locks AV's 2hr of the corresponding type.

I think we did all Jailers/Ix inside only.

I didn't see/hear Rdms landing anything, although they could have. One of our Brds did land a Light Threnody, though.

You only have to kill the ones with dangerous/annoying 2hrs: MNK and RDM are popped by trading organs, so that's not bad. I think WHM is too(?) so that wouldn't be too bad. DRG and DRK would be the annoying ones to pop, with DRG being the more important one to kill (fuck the wynavs), while DRK...who cares, PLD/NIN shouldn't worry too much about BW.

I don't know how we got Ix'Drk and Ix'Drg to pop fast. Maybe either no one killed them for a long time and they were already ready to pop or having AV running around just guarantees quick pops.

Anyway, it's 5:30am. I'm tired from flee sac'ing AV for a total of 4 hours. Bed time. ^^

I'm willing to bet that this is not what actually locks his 2Hs, but rather that you guys accidentally triggered the real way at some point where it would appear to be a result of your deliberate actions. (For example, you only killed the inside NMs, and yet, did AV ever Mighty Strikes or Perfect Dodge?)

What I'm most curious about is as Ichthyos asked, what caused him to stop casting the wind-based spells? Any recollection of what was going on at the time he stopped using them?
