    this is really hard to believe. (not saying anyone's BSing, it's just hard to believe)

    Mobs 2 zones over having an effect on a mob you're currently engaged on?
    I thought people had reasons why SE couldn't design something like that? Guess not. lol

    So uh, did the JPs have anything to say about the Ebon Panels?

    It's not too hard to believe, it's the basic way the new Dynamis zones work. Kill certain NMs and the Mega Boss loses that ability. Just cause it's in another zone doesn't mean much. Least I don't think it would.

    It's just utterly ridiculous of SE do make that the secret. Needing however many people just to keep AV up while you pop and kill the NMs. 70 people running around helping in some way is retarded. Especially when only 18 will get the title and up to 7 might get a drop.

    I agree.

    I'm not convinced that killing the NMs actually did anything -- to me that still feels like a big stretch for a strategy. We'll see if the strategy can be replicated.

    honestly, the IX can't be right.. I agree something was probably triggered along the way.. Killing the IX would make no sense, considering how hard it is to pop them, etc..

    Like was stated before, maybe they pop easier when AV is up.

    being in another zone basically means being on another "zone server" on SE's part, which is--not impossible--but highly unlikely that they intergrate in such complicated manner between particular mobs in different "zone servers"

    ninja edit: i wonder, did people in your ls go with the japs to kill NMs in the palace? i mean they could have said that's what they were doing but actually going downstairs and clicked on those control devices nobody knew what they were for (japs on my server have bad rep of handing out false info)

    i've done both ruhmet ix everyday for about 2 weeks, and i would say average time to pop them is 25-35 minutes, although i guess that is pretty bad if you're holding the ultimate mob outside.

    Sometimes it does take up to 90 minutes to pop, but just as often it pops in first 3 kills.

    last night there was a 2hr+ drg tho... =(

    Either your LS is incredibly lucky, or you're talking out your ass.

    I still remember nights I spent 4+ hours at DRK and DRG trying to get them to pop, getting 10k+ XP in an alliance.

    i guess i could upload a screen shot of 10+ deeds of moderation in bazaar if you want lol. Fuck alliance... pop and kill with 3-4 as long as ppl arent there to take it when it goes yellow.

    It might also have something to do with only having to kill that type of Aern in Al'taieu to get the same effect (Ul'aern or Om'aern) since i think all the job types are out there. Seeing how people have most likely got TP on these or cleared them as adds before, its unlikely.
